Who would you want ?

Watched both yesterday and a replay of Ward this morning. Ward looks like the better passer of the ball . More accurate smoother delivery and made good decisions... Sanders struggled all day .. was not able to avoid rush on three or four attempts.
The ball just flows out of Wards hand effortlessly and as said above, very accurate and delivered a very catchable ball even with his top receivers not on the field.

I'd rather have Hunter, Will Johnson or Mason Graham then get Milroe later in round 1/early round 2.  As you said, you cant pass on talent.

I also want a QB who is elusive.  That is not Sanders or Ward.  Today an NFL QB needs to be a bit ofna threat to run.

I'd have this as a best case scenario... but it's also irresponsibly risky. I really like Milroe for example there's no telling where he goes. If they like him at the end of round 1 so they take hunter 1st and try to trade back into the 1st they need to be sure no other team takes him earlier (impossible to know especially with only 2 QBs at the top) and have a team willing to trade back so they can get him.

Because if some team unexpectedly takes Milroe (or whoever they want) earlier than expected the whole plan falls apart along with the season. And we just saw last year the falcons take a QB out of nowhere after giving cousins a billion dollars.

And you also want to make sure you take the QB in the 1st round not the 2nd in order to get that 5th year option.

If this was 2023 and 2022 had gone exactly as planned which would have looked like this season I could see Schoen/Daboll trying something like that or rolling the dice with Ward. With their jobs on the line they will likely go with the safest option that gives them the best chance to be respectable in 2025. That's Sanders to me.

If Milroe comes out he will be a serious riser. His skills, running and arm strength, are off the charts. He will end up a top ten pick.

If Jeff Hostetler could do it, Daniel Jones can do it !!!

I agree. Does anyone know why Ward did not play in the second half yesterday ? Did he pull himself out because he did not want to get hurt ?

The so-called " experts " laughed when George Young selected Phil Simms from Morehead State .

I still rather not draft either guy, but if I had to. I am now leaning towards Sanders. Ward seems to have a better chance of being a bust than Sanders. Its still a long time to go before the draft. Any body here warming up to Sanders over Ward?
The KING is in the building

Brooklyn Dave

To answer your qurestion I want neither. I want to sign a FA QB, Sign DJ Reed in FA, Draft Mason Graham with the number 3 pick, draft a QB with the secon pick in the second round, draft OL in round 3 draft OL with the two picks in round 4 .

Painter

What I want is of no matter or consequence. What I can and do hope for is that whomever they choose to fill the role of QB1 be it Sanders or Ward- as long as they don't trade up in the effort- that he will prove capable of providing consistency in terms of playoff contention which is something we have not had in well more than a decade.

I could probably say the same if they were to take Dart or Milroe or someone else in a later round. All that really matters is that he proves capable of achieving what I have suggested above. Right now, at least, I have no inclination to engage with certainty with about any of the foregoing. It is neither my prerogative nor my problem.

However, I have previously made clear who I would hope to see given the role of "Bridge QB in the interim, in the meantime. A different issue, a different question.

Cheers!
