Aaron Glenn seems likeable, he has history with the organization as a player, he had success in Detroit as the DC, and I think he'll get along well with the NY/NJ sports media.

Of course, I have no idea if he'll actually be a good head coach, but he seems like a perfectly credible hire to me.

The HC thing before GM is unusual but can be done if the organization is structured properly and ownership has a an executive making the decisions.  Doubt that's the case here.
