Thanks Lou. We were on a cruise and we overnighted in Istanbul. That shot was taken from the top level of the ship. I just kept snapping as the sun was setting and luckily there was this Mosque right there.

I have been very lax in editing my pictures of late.

We did a Meditteranean cruise over a year ago, highlights were Istanbul and Athens two places we have never been. Both were amazing especially Islanbul. Istanbul is the only city in t he world that encompasses 2 continents. Most of the city is in Europe, but you closs over a bridge and you are in Asia.
I walk with a cane sometimes and try to avoid lots of steps. When we were in Athens, we went to the Acropolis, where there are something like 100+ steps to get to the top and are supposed to have a handicapped elevator. Well the day we were there it wasn't working, so we climbed. Took our time but the crowds sort of pushed you upwards. It was worth the time and effort. We had a magnificent day and it was truly one of the world's wonders.

The huge Grand Bazaar wasn't open as we were there on a Sunday, but the Spice Bazaar was

Great pix of Istanbul, Lenn. We went to both Greece and Istanbul on our Mediterranean cruise a few years ago too. Both incredible places. You stay in Istanbul was much better than ours though, although I had a day or two to sight-see, we were confined to the Hotel for 2 or 3 days due to Covid. :(
Those Mosques are indeed beautiful structures though.

When we got to Istanbul, it was when Hamas had attacked Israel and that war was just getting started. People were taking sides and Turkey, being more of an Arab country, was non-committal. We were worried as Americans. I usually wear my Air Force Veteran cap, but I decided against it, not wanting to be seen as an American military. I wore my Giants cap instead. We did a two-day tour, with a wonderful boat ride, but we never went out on our own. We thoroughly enjoyed this marvelous city.

As a Child of Apollo, I've always been fascinated by the space program. So, when you're in Florida and there's a rocket launch scheduled, you take a break from shooting race cars and drive two hours to Kennedy Space Center to watch a launch.

I set up at a spot south of KSC on the banks of the Banana River. We shot from there a couple of years ago, and I met up with a gentleman we met that last time, who frequently photographs launches and is friendly and ready to talk rockets and photography - he had more cameras set up than I had!

The SpaceX Crew-10 mission launched to take 4 astronauts to the International Space Station.

These last two are the first stage of the rocket returning to land at KSC.

These are great shots.
When we lived in Orlando we had a boat that we kept in Merritt Island.
It was always a great time watching the launches from the boat, especially if it was a night launch.

It's Spring. Going thru some of my pics from last year, we were in Virginia (Shenandoah) and we came across a huge field where butterflies were everywhere.

Just thought I would post a few 'butterflies' for spring
