If we sign Wilson I am ok with it.

Option 2 would be Flacco.

And Rodgers; thanks, but no thanks.

Think whatever you want about Aaron Rodgers, but man, the first wk of free agency has been a DISASTER for Russell Wilson. Your most recent team doesn't want you #Steelers. You couldn't reach a deal w the other team w an open job #Giants. And you couldn't even get an offer from #Browns who only have Kenny Pickett. Ouch.

What a disaster it is for the NYGs to have 5 Five QBs to consider, Darnold-80.7, Wilson-79.5, Rodgers-77.8, Stafford-74.7, and Flacco-71.6, and unable to come to an agreement with any of them.

Quote from: spiderblue43 on March 17, 2025, 06:31:11 AMOh you didn't, Trench..at all. I'm just fed up with the Rodgers saga..everyone here knows I never get upset..it's just not that important.

Thank you very much for the reply Spider, I realized (the frustration in my post towards our lack of action) could have been perceived negatively - which I sincerely didn't wish to do.

Happy St Patrick's Day and thank you.

Same to you, Trench.

We need the Giants to be Trench warriors again like Carl Banks..wow what a great player he was..and of course, the late, great forgotten Brad Van Pelt.

Assuming that JS/BD are fighting for their jobs this year, and that the QB pickens' are thin in this years' draft. They clearly have nothing to lose by going BOOM OR BUST.

With that logic, I would go Jameis Winston for one year and pray that he can keep his turnovers to a minimum.
From Simms to Eli (with an assist from Hoss) our Super Bowl Quarterbacks. Great defense and clutch QB performances...NY Giants Championship football.

I have an old profile still floating around: andrew_nyg....I am one and the same!

Playing the waiting game with Rodgers will bite the Giants in a bad way.  It's clear he has other preferences.

Why not offer Wilson a deal in which he had to hit certain passing metrics and if he does he gets his second year?  He should be motivated to work hard.

It'll only cost them if he actually decides to play for them.  Rodgers/Wilson/Winston/Rookie X you're all looking at about the same amount of wins. But only one of them brings enough baggage to overload a 747.
