Played 42% of snaps last year. A little bit of pocket push (2 sacks), OKish against the run, nothing special.

Every year at this time I reshare a piece of wisdom from my family member in pro personnel at an AFC franchise about how the GM/coaches use some of these seemingly uninspiring cheaper veteran free agent additions to set the floor for roster cutdown for both on the margin returning younger guys and for draft/UDFA additions to come.

If guys like OT Forsythe and DT Ledbetter make the 53 it is either because they seriously exceeded expectations or more likely due to underperformance by one or more of guys like Ezeudu/Neal or Davidson/Riley/Chatman etc.

I hope these FA signees are at least solid because they sure as hell haven't been sexy.

When I first saw the thread my thought was the Giants were looking to improve their golf game  :D

"There is a greater purpose...that purpose is team. Winning, losing, playing hard, playing well, doing it for each other, winning the right way, winning the right way is a very important thing to me... Championships are won by teams who love one another, who respect one another, and play for and support one another."
