I realize this is a long shot, but please play along. Draft night anything can happen. So..

What if?

TN takes Hunter and CLE takes Sanders?

We have a choice between Carter and Ward.

Who are you taking? and Why?

From Simms to Eli (with an assist from Hoss) our Super Bowl Quarterbacks. Great defense and clutch QB performances...NY Giants Championship football.

I have an old profile still floating around: andrew_nyg....I am one and the same!

Andrew,

If Cam Ward were to fall to us, it's a no-brainer.  You take the franchise QB and never look back.

Interesting.
So  you are certain that he's a franchise level QB?

I'm a little nervous about this entire QB class.
Maybe it's PTSD from the DJ experiment. Maybe it's just this class.

For me, I would feel better if the risk vs ROI was a second or third round QB.

Andrew,

I think the best way I heard it put-  "Ward may not be an elite prospect on par with the top 3 of last year's draft, but he is still worthy of being the number one pick in the draft"

What concerns me about Ward is his mental processing.  I am not convinced he can process football at NFL speed.  For that reason, I'd take Carter.

The Giants would take him in a heartbeat.

It's Carter, hands down.

Besides, the Giants aren't going to get their franchise quarterback until 2026. So, this is really a non-starter plot to begin with.

How do you like that, @andrew_nyGiants  ?

Peace!

Think the Titans and their dan base would go insane. If they don't draft Ward after watching Levins go haywire the past two years. .. a hold on the mayo..

And new coach there..in Callahan wants his own guy..so I think the Browns will be interesting next..ahould take Carter to pair on the DL...leaving Hunter for our heroes and Shedurr sinking like a rock..

Who is the franchise QB the Giants will get in 2026 ?

Ward makes special throws and is very dynamic. He has things to clean up as almost any QB prospect entering the league does. He still has a worthy enough grade to be selected #1 overall.

Hi Dave.

That list has been put out by our brethren here before. I'll try to track it down but if the individual who originally posted it can link it here quicker, I'd be most appreciative.

Thank you!

Andrew: If Giants stay put, it means they'll take best player available (and/or listen to trade offers).

If Carter/Ward are on the SAME level on their big board, I don't see how they could pass up Ward.

If not (and I'd bet money Carter is higher-ranked), they'll take Carter.

If Jeff Hostetler could do it, Daniel Jones can do it !!!
