I'd be interested to see this broken down by each QB

But nonetheless, hopefully they can find at least one quality OL in the draft along with a little luck on health for once.

Without AT ..the offense gets far worse...in points and protection..as we know. He has to stay healthy for a minimum of 14..15 games..there was progress the first six games last year .then the wheels fell off

But DJ was shell shocked the last two years too..Another young Tackle/Guard is needed..

If we get anything out of Neal at guard..it would be as depth...best case scenario. Build the trenches...both sides..

Considering that DJ played less than half the games the past two seasons, I don't think he could be blamed for these issues (at least not entirely).   The Giants had Tyrod, DeVito, and Lock taking more collective snaps than Jones.

I looked at PFF, I suspect DJ may have contributed more to the sacks than the others.  As for where the sacks came it was often from the right side (RT or RG) or LT

Exactly why I don't want to hear any talk of a running back or long shot QB project until Round 5 or later!  This is a good draft for the trenches on both sides of the ball.  Get some quality in Rounds 2 & 3, especially!

For your edification and enlightenment
Season-Sacks-Rank- PBE (Pass Blocking efficiency)
2024--- 32-- 21st- 29th
2023--- 45-- 30th- 30th
2022--- 32-- 6th-- 26th

Denver had one change in their O-line at Center from 2023 to 2024. They had 34 less hurries and 43 less pressures in 2024. Every O-Line position had a better PFF PB Grade. Sometimes the QB can make the O-Line look bad or good. Sometimes a change at the Position Coach can make a difference. Last season the Giants had one O-lineman who played 80% of snaps. Depth is an issue when injuries force players to shift positions.

2023 was a bad year for the Oline in sacks. 2024 was in line with 2022 in Sacks. Pass Blocking Efficiency was lousy all three years.

On a positive note, the Run Blocking was better in 2024. a 75.0 Grade and 24th in the league. Here I struggle where in 2022 they had a RB Grade of 61.1 but were 14th ranked.

Sometimes you can form a conclusion from stats, and sometimes there are so many variables that it's hard to pinpoint a conclusion. It's evident that injuries will happen, and quality depth will get a team through. Even a change in Coaches can't weather the storm of injuries and lack of continuity. Is it luck? Is it conditioning? I don't know. All I do know is that since 2012, this team has struggled with Offensive Line issues. Is it the focus of the GM and the HC? Maybe ask Denver who had less than half the sacks as the Giants in 2023- 18 vs 45 and in 2024- 14 vs 32.

"There is a greater purpose...that purpose is team. Winning, losing, playing hard, playing well, doing it for each other, winning the right way, winning the right way is a very important thing to me... Championships are won by teams who love one another, who respect one another, and play for and support one another."

It's so funny, 2 months ago I just wanted a qb and hated the idea of carter. Now I really just want all trench players and maybe 3rd 4th rd rb. I think this draft will be unsexy, but will set up the blueprint of a strong core that can compete if we can luck into a qb sometime in the next 13 months. Carter and another high round DT will give this team an identity that it desperately needs. I personally think Russ will be a disaster. But this year is all about setting up the foundation. We can do the shutters and trim next year lol

There are maybe 7-8 tackles in the top 110 prospects worth taking and even some of them are speculative at best. Even less so with the guards as there is really a top 3 of Booker, Jackson, and Zabel then the day 2 guys of Ratledge, Milum, and that's it. The oline is not a strong area this draft, unless you get one of Membou, Campbell, Conerly, Simmons, Booker, Jackson, or Zabel you are just hoping you get lucky because the quality and quantity are not there.
