If they aren't, the name doesn't matter to me, I'd pass him up in a heartbeat.

Same way we know Sanders was a top flight HOF player and you dealt with his antics, but I wouldn't touch or want his son, even with the Sanders name.
Manning likely isn't coming out next year so I'd probably spend more time looking at these other guys.

Cade Klubnick- who was actually the #1 qb recruit over Manning in 2022

Drew Allar

Garrett Nussmeier

Sam Leavitt

Nick Iamaleava

Diego Pavia

Carson Beck

Those will likely be the top qbs in next years draft, not Manning. So you better hope you like one of them more than Dart etc this year.

It would have been a red shirt year if Schoen and Daboll were not retained. Then the new group could build and do it wisely. Now there is a flurry to win immediately so they are grasping at whatever they can to make that happen. The elephant in the room though is what makes any of us confident that the head coach can all of a sudden return to being a winning coach after two dreadful years that were in many ways his doing. I haven't seen resurrections like that very often in the NFL. But I do agree, I would not focus on Arch Manning to be there for them next year. I'm also tired of having to find these players who seem familiar or have family or school ties. Be nice if the Giants for once thought outside that box.

I agree, would AR h Manning be such a hot commodity, for ANY team. If his name weren't Manning?.Thay name has a certain connection to winning and really nothing to do with ability.
I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.

Red shirt year was for us Giant fans, we know that both the GM & coach are on the hot seat.

I am very tired of these dumb moves and forgetting to fix the damn oline, and when they try they fail on 1st and 2nd round picks as if they were 6th or 7th rounders. Except for AT thankfully, at least they got one right.

I had hope and faith for these guys as they were outside the box as you mentioned, but my faith and hope for anything positive from the Giants, is so thin now (they've been out played be other teams in the draft over a number of years). I know there are fans older than me and suffered in the 60-70s, I suffered with Kannel, Brown, Graham years.

I did agree with the GM that they should try to Sign Barkley but he didn't want what was offered, and what he did want, it made no sense to pay as we didn't have the team to support him. You seen what that support looks like with a well rounded team with the eagles as much as I hate to say that.

And any qb we get will still be worthless if the oline and schemes aren't fix, I could care less what qb that is. We saw Mahomes in the SB struggle when his oline had issues, or when Brady would be pressured. And I am not asking for a top 5 Oline (which would be nice) but about an average oline.

If he doesn't have the ability, I don't want him not matter the name.

Quote from: Jclayton92 on April 24, 2025, 11:15:51 AMAll he's done so far is beat up on horrible teams. So honestly it's all a projection with him as he hasn't started more than 3 games. I'll be the first to admit that I thought he was overhyped and remember telling @DaveBrown74 that I didn't like his high school tape and thought he was ok.

True story. I clearly remember that as well.

It goes without saying of course that you're more than entitled to change your mind if he impresses you more this coming season though.
