Here's a view of the city from one of the towers:

And the spiral staircase leading down, out of the tower:

Great shots Lou. We visited the Basilica a few years ago but did not go inside.

We are off on a 3-week cruise at the end of August, Noway's upper Fiords, Greenland, Iceland, and then back to the USA.

Next time you are looking to cruise, give us a holler. We LOVE it.

Can't wait to see what kind of photos you come back with from that journey!

Here are a couple more shots from Barcelona.

The next stop on our cruise was France. These are from the seaside town of Cassis

Still Cassis. A great little shop full of temptations..

This is just an "Artsy" pic I took for myself. The house I grew up in wasn't in France, but the address was #56..

Just great shots Lou. Brings back some good (and some not-so-good) memories of Barcelona. Did you stay there, and if so, where about? We have been there 3 times, all pre and post-cruises, and have always stayed in the Las Rambles section. Did you get to the park where Gaudi has all these sculptures, building all basically mosaic tiles? It is in a park or garden somewhere in Barcelona.

Our bad memory was we were there when Covid hit and they literally closed the entire country down. We couldn't even get anything to eat for an entire day as everything was closed. We were scared to death we wouldn't get out, but luckily we did the next day, otherwise a fantastic city.

Like you Lenn, we were in Barcelona pre-cruise. We arrived a day ahead of time and visited the Cathedral. Other than that, we didn't really have time for much else. We stayed at the Hotel Almanac, which was booked by the cruise line, but I don't know what section of the city we were in. There was a park / town square within walking distance, but I don't think it was the one you mentioned.
Here's the hotel

And here's a few of the park/square

And just a few more from France

Pablo Picasso used this place as his studio while in France, which was later turned into a museum. Unfortunately, it was closed the day we visited.

A spice vendor at market in Antibes.

An interesting piece of art. A couple of sculpted Ninja's scaling the wall to this building.

And lastly, some of the work from the glass blowing artisans in Biot.

Truly just terrific pix. I loved the flowers against the old-time charm.

I know that square very well, with all the pigeons. When there last, we were supposed to meet there for a walking tour of the old gothic part of Barcelona, but it was canceled of course because of Covid. We still walked to the square and hung around there for a while, just trying to stay away from other people. The square is right at the edge of the second we stayed at, Las Rambles. It is a very short distance from where you will board the ships.

Next stop - Monaco
This was the sight from our veranda when we woke up in Monte Carlo

Here is a shot of the Grand Casino. Playground to the stars. If you want to go and gamble at night, a tuxedo is required!

We were only here for a day, so we just jumped on a bus to see the sights
