Obviously, this is subjective, but overall, I can't argue with most of them, at least the ones I've seen.

Vincent/John Travolta in Pulp Fiction
Sonny Corleone/ James Caan in the Godfather
HAL in 2001, A Space Odyssey
Bonnie and Clyde
Maybe the most famous death scene-The Wicked Witch of the West
James Cagney/Cody Jarrett--White Heat
King Kong
And the one that still makes me tear up--Old Yella

I think we kind of spoke about this in another thread, but I'll add to this...
From the included list I liked the Psycho & Jaws scenes the best. I thought both were unique and somewhat frightening when I first saw them.

From what Lenn included  - Cagney, James Caan, Bonnie & Clyde & Kong are the most memorable to me.

Some other favorites of mine.....James Cagney has a couple...His death scene on the steps in "The Roaring 20's" & when he is delivered to his mother in "Public Enemy".
Edward G. Robinson in "Little Ceaser".
There were a couple in "Reservoir Dogs"
Something I just watched again last night - The Monster's death in the windmill in the Original Frankenstein.
Apollo Creed in Rocky IV
And even though he reappears in later films...The Terminator in the original film and then again in T2

And I'm sure there are others.

Sean Connery in "The Untouchables."

Funny, in the 'old' Hollywood, there were certain actors who you just couldn't kill during a movie. Maybe at some time, guys like Clark Gable might have been killed off, but normally, he was untouchable. Cary Grant was another, same with James Stewart. Again, at some time in some movie, they might have been killed off, but very very rarely. The public wouldn't stand for it. Then again, guys like Cagney, Bogart, Robinson, and many more, made a living dying regularly in the movies. Fans ate it up.

And to add another very famous death scene, Cagney in 'Angles With Dirty Faces' when they took him to the 'Chair'.
