My exact thoughts as I was going thru the list. I fully suspected him to be #1 and yet nowhere to be seen.   

Also Pete the parakeet.
My first pet, flew out the window and was never seen again.

In 1953 the American was a fighter pilot stationed at the Kinross Airbase in Michigan. He was sent to inspect an unidentified aircraft which was in restricted airspace. Both crafts disappeared and Moncla was never found. Ufologists recount the story to this day.
