I said before training camp if Slayton and Shepherd made the final roster then we had not upgraded our WR except for the 2 kids.

Not to mention our PR game is still one of the worst.  Crowder was a good signing.  I am beginning to wonder about our ability to judge talent.

And we still keep fiddle farting around with Cole Beasley hoping to get him healthy enough to activate.  WHY ???

Avoiding being part of a special teams group led by Thomas McGaughey was probably the best thing that could have happened to this guy this year.

Why is anyone surprised when we don't seem to care about our return game. Then you have fans who would prefer just fair catching every punt, endzone knee every KO. Can't have another SEHORN! So those fans can't complain about another team emphasizing their return game. You can't have it both ways.

This makes absolutely no sense. Crowder would have added value to our return game as the #6 WR, not our #1 CB.

For me, this goes in the negative for Schoen.   The Giants kept two WRs who have little value to the team in Shepard and Beasley, and let a quality WR with ST value go.  This is not how one makes a team better.

100%. Your #6 WR MUST provide ST value. Otherwise, it's a complete waste of a roster spot, and potentially weakens one of your 3 units.

Wasn't Beasley on the PS on opening day though? Maybe I'm not remembering right.

He was and then he was placed on the little used practice squad injured reserve

Three - you can add Campbell to that list.

I can't ding Schoen on this one, as I liked the signing and thought he would improve the WR room.  The funny thing is Campbell may be the slowest fast guy I have ever seen.  Plus, I have never seen a player who was on the ground as much as Campbell has been.

I am happy they stopped giving him WR snaps.

There's speed and quickness. Campbell has speed but not quickness. Quickness helps with route-running and getting open.

Guy makes one play on STs for another team and we are "dinging" Schoen for not having him on the roster?

I don't understand some of this sometimes. Every time Romeo Okwaru had a sack for Detroit there was a thread about it.  In this case it's a 30 year old WR who has caught 8 passes since 2021 and had 1 highlight reel play returning a punt.  He's returned punts for the last couple of years and this is his one long return.

What doesn't make sense? Of course Crowder would have added value to our return game since we do not have one. My point still stands that the Giants have a long history of not emphasizing good PR/KO. The SEHORN point is that there are fans who are on record saying we should FC every punt, knee every KO.
