I have said before in different posts that having the 6th pick, we should capitalize on the opportunity to sell that spot and gain more potential starters to upgrade our weak positions.
My favorite draft would be:

Round 1  (Trading back to the 20s, in one or two moves, to gain a bunch of extra picks, including one in round 2 plus another high pick in next year's draft):
. WR Ladd McConkey, Best route runner who was dominant and hard to cover at the Senior Bowl. I believe he'll be a better pro than the higher rated Receivers

Round 2, A: OL Jackson Powers-Johnson, A dominating Guard who is also a great Center

Round 2, B: DT T'Vondre Sweat, in the mold of our Dexter Lawrence

Round 2, C: DL Darius Robinson, Under-rated and versatile D lineman who can rush the passer from any position

Round 3, TE Ben Sinnott, A very good and tough Receiver who is also a pretty good blocker

Round 4, QB Spencer Rattler, Another prospect who is still under the radar and has the tools and potential

Round 5, A: RB Will Shipley, A tough, slippery and hard runner who can get open and catch balls

Round 5, B: OT Roger Rosengarten, Strong tackle with great feet to mirror the rushers
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpWynYuiB3U

Round 6, A: WR Luke McCafrey, Big slot target, great bloodlines who has showed noticeable improvement

Round 6, B: DB Kitan Oladapo, hard hitting Safety who flies all over the field. Old school type

Is it too early to talk draft or there is no appetite after getting burned for the 50th time?
I really thing I would bat at least 60% with those 10 picks, becoming starters in the nfl, within the next 3 years, hopefully as Giants.

Any thoughts?

Philosophers

I am not going to go round because wveryone sees the media herd mentality where nearly all say someone is a 5th rounder when teams think much differently.

Players I like:

Joe Alt:  some kind of cross between Taylor Lewan and Jack Conklin.

Xavier Leggette - he had a good year.  Seems to have the tools.  If he outs it all together oh my God.

Mike Sainristil - former WR who became a CB.  Thinks like a WR but plays slot CB.  Love his physicals and football instincts

Zak Zinter - just a DL turning machine.  Smart, crafty, moves in tight spots well.

Players I dont like

Blake Corum - not a modern NFL back as he was not a pass catcher.  Runs great though.

Caleb Williams - all my USC booster friends say he is not the real deal. I think he is overrated. Plus USC QBs dont seem to do well in the NFL over the past 15 years.

Ohio State DL - many may be 5 stars but since Bosa, I think they underachieve for their hype.

I like Leggett and Zinter also and agree with you on Caleb. I don't understand why he is so highly regarded. Bust alert.
I don't like the idea of picking another OT that high, but Alt is certainly worthy of the pick, imo;
Receivers rated for 3rd round, I like Jerry Rice's son and Corley.

Of our first round likely options I like Odunze best. Assuming WR is addressed then day 2 and 3 options at other positions of need that I like as specific fits for us (but pre combine and pro day so with that caveat):

RT/G Sataoa Laumea, Roger Rosengarten
G Dominick Puni, Brandon Coleman, Mason McCormick
RB Jaylen Wright, Dylan Laube
TE Ben Sinnott, Theo Johnson
Edge Adisa Isaac, Austin Booker
DT Michael Hall, Mekhi Wingo (if fit)
CB TJ Tampa, Max Melton
S Caleb Bullock, Jayden Hicks

No QB unless McCarthy is somehow there. I expect us to hit both OL and Edge in FA so that is reflected in me looking more at mid/late round options here. At DL if Darius Robinson fell to 39 I would sprint to the podium!
If you live your life as a pessimist you never really live your life at all.

Jolly Blue Giant

I spend more time looking at day two and day three picks. I hope the Giants get good offers and trade down in the first...not once, but more than once. If they use the pick on a skill player at six, I hope they hit, but I really want extra picks...especially in the 2nd round

Some of my favorite players in the draft

OG: Jackson Powers-Johnson, Zak Zinter
OT: Ethan Driskell (groom for swing tackle), Walter Rouse (great guard, but can step into tackle if necessary)
DT: T'vondre Sweat, Maason Smith
DE: Byron Murphy, Ruke Orhorhoro, Bradon Fiske
ER: "Chop" Robinson, Bralen Trice
LB: Payton Wilson, Edgerren Cooper (both can play ER)
WR: Malachi Cooper, Ainias Smith (special teams ace/PR/KR/WR/RB - does them all very well), Jalen Coker (sleeper pick)
RB: Trey Benson, Braelon Allen (workhorse RB), Will Shipley (poor man's Christian McCaffrey)
CB: Mike Sainristil, Cam Hart
S: Cole Bishop, Tykee Smith
QB: Joe Milton (groom for future)
The fact that Keith Richards has outlived Richard Simmons, sure makes me question this whole, "healthy eating and exercise" thing
