Aaron Stinnie spent the past 3 years with the bucs with "716 snaps at left guard per Pro Football Focus. He gave up 29 total pressure in pass protection last year (2 sacks, 2 hits, 25 hurries), as well as committing four penalties, on 442 pass blocking reps."

Austin Schlottmann depth guy having played "449 snaps at right guard, 512 at center, and 90 at left guard for Denver and Minnesota."

From the article

We have seen the floor and its covered with hairballs and old cigar butts. If we could somehow lift that unit to average that would be a huge achievement. We have 2 spots that are spoken for at this point and that's LT and C. We need to decide on the other three starters and two or three depth pieces. I think they will have more than a dozen guys competing for those 5 spots in camp. More will come as the camp roster fills out and they may draft a guy so if they draft a guy and keep Neal that's 3 spots that need to be filled by the rabble that also includes McKethan and Ezudu.

Let's hope we can get 5 competent ones to start the season.

Schlottman has played as back-up C last two years for the Vikings and that is why he is here. He was utterly horrible in 2022 and just above league average in 2023.

Don't underrate Stinnie. Take a look at the games played, and the sacks, hits and hurries. I see him competing for a starting role at LG. Evan Neal better be on his game because Guard doesn't look to be in his future after this week's moves. Those positions have been nicely upgraded.

As long as nobody retires, goes IR or has a mental breakdown. I think I covered every surprise of the past. Hopefully nobody is placed in the witness protection program, gets abducted by aliens or takes a trip to Russia.

Winning, losing, playing hard, playing well, doing it for each other, winning the right way, winning the right way is a very important thing to me... If I'm Daboll I almost think you have to consider fields for a 4th. You've reinforced the oline, got 2 blocking TEs, and signed a 1 cut Rb. Get fields, another Rb, and Odunze at 6.

Qb Fields
RB Singletary, Grey, Corbin
Wr Odunze
Wr Slayton
Slot Wandale/Hyatt
LT Thomas
LG Neal/Stinnie
C JMS
RG Runyan
RT Eluemunor

And just become the Ravens of the NFC. I'd be down for that until we find A guy. Fields can run, and go deep. So run his ass off with the backs, and chunk it to Odunze, Slayton, and Hyatt downfield

If the price is just a 4th, I'd consider it too if we're not drafting a QB. I would pass on the 5th year option though.

I get the idea they are throwing "sticky stuff" against the wall to see what sticks. Get as many OL in for training camp and let the chips fall where they may. We can't go another year with the crowd yelling"olé", every time a pass rush is on. Gotta stop those jailbreaks. These two don't seem like "permanent fixes" to me, and maybe only backup roles

Hopefully, Bricillo knows these guys and has input and has a genuine plan  :-??

The fact that Keith Richards has outlived Richard Simmons, sure makes me question this whole, "healthy eating and exercise" thing

No way in hell is Chicago going to give away fields for a fourth rounder. At that point they might as well just keep him for one more year. He's cheap anyways rumor has it they want a first rounder which obviously I don't think they're gonna get. There's also speculation that the deal could be done for a second rounder at this point. for whatever reason there's quite a few NFL teams that are just not at least in the public eyes very interested in Justin Fields

I wouldn't move Fields for a fourth rounder either if I were the Bears. I'd hang on to him if that were really the market. Someone may need him more during the season, or even once camp/preseason starts if there is an injury.

Kenny pickett just got traded for a 3rd round swap, why would a 4th rd pick upright seem unreasonable?

Comparing Pickett to Fields? I remember there were some here that were very high on Fileds, in fact some debated Is Fileds marginally better than Trever Lawrence. Before the draft there was a ton of hype in regard to Fields. The 2021 draft at the time was loaded with QBs that on paper looked very promising. The 2022 draft had no clear cut QB and Pickett was picked because he seemed to be the best of the bunch, his value is much lower than Fields.

A Maxim in NFL football life: NEVER, EVER judge a player by where he was drafted. The day after the draft, every single rookie player is at ground zero and where they were drafted means NOTHING

So you can't compare Pickett to Fields by pre-draft hype and where each was drafted. It will be interesting to see where both are sitting 2-years, 4-years from now. Nobody knows  :-??
