NFT- What are people's thoughts on the Shohei Ohtani betting scandal?

For those not familiar, Shohei Ohtani's bank accounts sent an illegal bookie millions of dollars.  Shohei Ohtani is blaming his interpreter.  What do people think?   Here are a couple of articles to get people up to speed.

It's hard not to believe that Ohtani was making bets through the interpreter.

I tend to agree with the comments posted that Ohtani is the guilty party.  That said, I don't know how helpless these players are in counting on their interpreters to communicate and know what is going on.

I have my suspicions, but I am going to wait until I have more concrete information before jumping to any conclusions. We're still in a pretty early phase of this investigation.
