Most makes sense...but Chau Smith-Wade, not so much.  :-??  Unless they are thinking nickel or something else. He's short, and he's too slow to stay on the outside (5'10" / 4.54 40 time). Hell, DEs, Dallas Turner, Chop Robinson, Kamara are big, big dudes who ran faster. Several TE's ran faster than that (Bowers, Devin Culp, Theo Johnson, etc)

If the Giants are looking for a CB, he should be at least 6'0", with long arms, and run no slower than low 4s' IMHO. At the combine, 26 CBs ran a faster time than him, and that doesn't count the top CBs who didn't bother with the combine  https://www.nfl.com/combine/tracker/live-results/40-yard-dash/cb/all-colleges/
The fact that Keith Richards has outlived Richard Simmons, sure makes me question this whole, "healthy eating and exercise" thing

I am thinking the Giants could draft a slot CB with an eye toward putting Flott on the outside/boundry

I dont see it with Flott either inside or outside.

I think the thing with the visits is that we (outside the Giants) Giants get all 30.  So we can consider the players listed as having a visit, but we can't say with certainty that the Giants didn't have them in for a visit.

As far as I can tell, the Giants didn't have a big contingent at Nix's Pro Day

Wonder if the Giants are looking at T'Vondre Sweat as a more affordable player for Dex's position.  I don't think side by side would work as neither has that smaller DT burst.

All true. But Zebra Technologies, who tracked the Senior Bowl participants, had him as the fastest DB in maximum acceleration and 5th fastest in deceleration in yards per second.  In other words his start/stop and COD is terrific. He stood out in the game in Mobile - the first he's ever played the slot in having practiced for the first time in that role during the week in Mobile. As a slot guy, he undoubtedly has a future.

Me neither. But I think he's been more miscast as a slot CB than as a perimeter guy. I'd like to see what he can do there more than I'd like to see him being deeply average in coverage from the slot as well as a hugely ineffective  tackler against  the run. Either he makes it outside or I think you can change his name to Flopp
