How does Nabors compare to OBJ as prospects. Who is higher rated, faster, better hands etc. I'm not saying he is going to be OBJ, just curious as to how they compare coming out of college. They seem to be similar in size.

Both went to LSU, but Nabors was the first LSU WR to have back-to-back thousand-yard seasons.

I think OBJ was a better catcher of the football, while I think Nabors is more explosive and elusive than OBJ.

Let's hope there aren't any Diva comparisons.

Ed,

It seems like many WRs have a bit of diva in them.  I think with OBJ, "the catch" did more harm than good.  OBJ received too much fame too quickly and not fully deserved thanks to that one catch, and I think it had a negative impact on the young man.  I think he was too young to handle that sort of fame.

I can't believe we area already going there. I care about production and winning. Nabors seems like a good kid. I love how he customized the inside of his suit jacket with pictures of his mentors.

As long as he isn't another Toney.

Nabors is as fast as the young OBJ, wow. I hope we hit a home run with our first 2 picks. If both end up quality starters I will consider this A good draft

Some quotes I had gathered about Malik Nabers before the draft:

• From a scout: "Nabers is the interesting one (among the top 3 WR) because he's so strong after the catch and he's so fast and so explosive. He's a dog that elevates your room. He's like Stefon Diggs."

• From an assistant coach: "Nabers is the most explosive (of the top 3 WR), but a little bit more raw. Harrison and Odunze are polished, but they're not like Odell and will catch a slant and run for 80. But they'll both be really good and play a long time. Nabers could be like Odell early. Throw him a hitch or a slant and he's gone. He's got that type of talent."

• From an NFL exec on any character concerns: "He has (an) edge, but nothing glaring. I think he plays that way, too."

How about Nabors makes the acrobatic catch of the year like OBJ but we actually win the game this time?

As long as he understands that you don't TD dance when your team is down by four scores and you don't weaponize the media to call out your teammates and coaching staff it won't be an issue with anyone.

I also liked the jacket.

Were you bothered by the Cruz salsa dance? I'm sure it happened during a loss or deficit.

Seem to be pretty similar, but it seems nabers is a bit faster, and more explosive after the catch, which is almost hard to believe. I cant wait to see him take slants to the house.

Cruz is a fantastic example of a guy that knew when to eschew the salsa dance, such as in this example around 4:30.

Rich: I'm uncertain about that. If you watch Nabers' highlight reels he also has an uncanny ability to twist, turn and contort his body while hanging in midair.  This aspect of his game, which IMO is superior to that of OBJ, plays a significant role in catching the ball. Who has the better hands?  I think it's about even.  Bob
If Jeff Hostetler could do it, Daniel Jones can do it !!!

My humble opinion, OBJ was a crisper route runner. His routes were for the most part very precise. Nabers rounds off some of his stuff. That will need a bit more work in the NFL. But the overall size, speed, body frame package is better than Odell. He is such a freak athlete though that he will probably still be really good as he hones his craft and absolutely elite once his route running appreciably improves.
