Depends what the emphasis is.

Who lasted the longest in the NFL?
Which man's best year was the overall best of all of them?
Best man-coverage guy?
Best zone coverage guy?
Best at getting interceptions?
Best at not giving up TD?
Best at not giving up first downs?

A really tough question to answer, so I'll pick Champ Bailey, because he may have been the "composite" best player when combining all of the factors enumerated above.

Bob
If Jeff Hostetler could do it, Daniel Jones can do it !!!

Champ was a damn good CB in Washington and Denver!

Quote from: DaveBrown74 on June 15, 2024, 03:13:13 PMDeion was just such a dominant, game changing player though. He could win games on his own. Not many corners I would say that about.

It's easy to not like Deion because he is so cocky and such a big mouth, and he played on rival teams to ours, but as a pure player on the field he was truly electric. One of the best ever period (all positions) IMO.

Plus, he was a helluva punt and kick returner.  Something to think about when the mythology of Jason Sehorn comes up.
I'd rather be a disappointed optimist than a vindicated pessimist.
