I'd rather be a disappointed optimist than a vindicated pessimist.

Not slowing my roll

Excellent, thanks for sharing.
"There is a greater purpose...that purpose is team. Winning, losing, playing hard, playing well, doing it for each other, winning the right way, winning the right way is a very important thing to me... Championships are won by teams who love one another, who respect one another, and play for and support one another."

Yeah I think this is 100% true.  It's also why I think Eli was better without Plax and Shockey- 2 guys who take what Brady is saying here to the nth level- if you don't get those guys the ball they're a problem, plain and simple.  Eli grew a lot as a passer once Plax wasn't there anymore.

Good point. I think when you have rookie talent that Eli had in Nicks and Manningham, along with Smith and Boss after Shockey, Plax and Toomer all called it a career, he had the opportunity to help mold them into his receivers from a clean slate versus him adjusting himself to the pros he came into the league with.

Peace!

"Dave Jennings was one of the all-time great Giants. He was a valued member of the Giants family for more than 30 years as a player and a broadcaster, and we were thrilled to include him in our Ring of Honor. We will miss him dearly." (John Mara)

I wonder if he is going to be a good announcer
He has so much info but only about 20 seconds to tell it

I think his success and failure will hinge on being able to explain complex concepts in a way the average fan understands.  That was what made John Madden so good (that and his love of and his ability to share his pure love of the game).
