I can't remember the last time I have ever seen a car more totaled than that. I'm not sure there was a time.

As a retired heavy rescue tech and EMT, after we get done ripping a car apart to get those trapped inside out, things can look worse.  That said, even after accounting for that, it looks bad.  I suspect there was a rollover.  It also looks like it may have hit a tree or taller tree stump sideways, and the car was ripped in half.

Have they ascertained that the driver of the other car was indeed intoxicated? I haven't followed this story closely apart from just reading headlines.
