The only scenario I could see Daboll getting fired is if there is some sort of coaching revolt.  Otherwise, I agree, seems unlikely he gets fired (at least first).  Too bad the opposite bet isn't available (that he isn't the first to be fired).

Judge had to practically ask to get fired with that famous press conference and no success to show for his time here.  Daboll went to the playoffs with a bad team.  While some of that success was luck, coaching was major.  I agree he had a bad year last year but the team was pretty bad as well and almost no depth at key positions. Daboll would have to do something really stupid to get fired this year.  If he gets fired after the year solely because of a bad record, assuming the team is prepared and plays for him, it would be a major mistake and that's an understatement

Even that scenario is far-fetched, IMHO.

He's 100% safe for this year.

Is that some Vigorishly (Yiddish via Russian loan word) purposeful list of the fist 12, or the first of 12 to be fired? Are we expected to apply our expertise in risk management before a single game is played? Perhaps, we are just transitioning from bored silly to a silly board, or merely engaged in friendly Undertaking. Whatever, have fun.

Btw, I do agree with Tim- for now,

Cheers!

This is kind of a weird odds list, in the sense of the timing of the actual firing. If a coach gets fired in-season, then it's clearly straightforward. Otherwise, if there are no in-season firings, what are you betting on exactly? The first coach to get "announced" as fired on Black Monday? What exactly qualifies as an "announcement"? By which reporter? Or does it need to be a formal press release? What if it's a twitter rumor but not a legitimate media report and it turns out to be true? Seems like it could be a messy bet to settle unless there is an in-season firing.

Stefanski is way to too short. He's a 2x COTY and took the Browns to the playoffs without their Franchise player and with Flacco at the controls.

Sheesh. Tough crowd.

If Daboll only wins 4 or less games.....he is getting fired

Schoen will not go down with Daboll's ship.  Although I could see both going and Belechick taking over.   But Mara would have to sever his passive aggressive behavior for Bill to take the job of HC/GM.

I would agree that a 4-13 type season (or worse) could put people in jeopardy. I tend to agree with posters who claim Daboll is safe almost no matter what (barring perhaps the combination of a bad season and a lot of internal political problems like last year), but I can't say that with confidence. We have seen Mara fire a number of coaches after two seasons, so three does not seem out of the realm. Of course, Daboll did have the solid first season, leading him to a coach of the year award, so maybe that buys him a fourth year automatically, but Ben McAdoo had an 11-5 year in his first season and then got fired before the end of his second one, and Coughlin, a legend, got fired just a few years after winning his second Super Bowl, so it's not like it's completely impossible if we use history as a guide.

I have a hard time seeing Schoen getting fired after this year. Dave Gettleman was a disaster, and Mara gave him a fourth year and then tried to be gracious about firing (ie asking him to retire, a bit like he did with Coughlin). Admittedly, a bad season for this year could put Schoen on the hot seat in 2025, but I'd be surprised if he got fired after this season. GMs tend to have a bigger window than coaches, fairly or unfairly.

I don't think I can remember an NFL season where at least on HC was fired in season.
