Is this a surprise?  I said back when the Giants signed him that he wasn't going to make the team.  There was a false narrative the Giants had one of the worst kickoff coverages in the NFL, and Boykin was brought in to fix it.  The assumption he was going to make the roster was predicated on said false narrative.  The reality is, the Giants were better than average in kickoff and punt coverage and the Giants wr room is now too talented for Boykin or Robinson to occupy a spot.  This is fantastic news.

Players I didn't see at practice that haven't been reported as cut/IR: WR Isaiah McKenzie, OL Joshua Miles, OL Jalen Mayfield, DL Casey Rogers, CB Mario Goodrich, CB David Long and K Jude McAtamney. That leaves one more move assuming they're all gone.

S Gervarrius Owens went inside early in practice 🤔.

Giants actually had 54 players on the field if my speed attendance taking was accurate before Gervarrius Owens got escorted into the building.

WR Gunner Olszewski, LB Micah McFadden, LB Matthew Adams and LB Dyontae Johnson were on the side with trainers.

That is interesting on many levels.

If DeVito makes it then maybe Lock isn't being handed the #2, which is a good thing, or Lock isn't ready to go.

Dyontae Johnson - guys who can play get to stay. I hope it is that and not an indication of McFadden's injury. Coaches don't care if you were drafted or not. Hard work with results demonstrated on the field are rewarded. 

Olszewski's injury is not as bad as feared? No need to go PR hunting? That answers both the punt returner question and who fills the 6th WR spot (unless they are somehow keeping 7.)

Is Daboll hedging in case someone goes down at practice today? I'm not saying that is a bad thing but I wouldn't want to be one of those guys who is hoping for an injury to someone else in order to stay with the team.
