I don't know that Jones has deep or intermediate in his game currently for defenses to even worry. If I'm a defense I'm baiting Jones to throw a dumb pass every play until he shows he doesnt and letting us run until we can show we can do that.

But "considerably better"? 5 sacks allowed and 3.5 YPC on 74 rushing yards is still pretty terrible. It's clear that the OL is still an issue. And if we had Nix or Beck or Ewers it's not going to matter if the team can't block.

Not saying the OL was great, but most of those sacks were on Jones stepping into pressure, sometimes from a good pocket.

They gave up very little actual pressure.  Jones just ran directly into most of those sacks.  He had clean pockets most of the day.  Thomas ranked out as the highest rated PFF OL in the league Week 1.  This OL isn't "fixed" in the sense that it's a top unit but they are plenty good enough to win with now.  Finally.
