I don't know if this has already been posted somewhere or not and if it has I apologize. Please feel free to remove it.
Over on Big Blue View there is a clip of Carl Banks from "X". He and LT discussing the sorry state of this Giants squad.
In my opinion, They are not wrong!

Sorry is one way to put it

This team is a slap in the face to all the legends and past Giants they are honoring, their 100 years, the fans and everyone else.

EDjohnst1981

Hyperbole.

They absolutely couldn't. Banks ought to use his platform to competently critique the issues instead of this nonsense.

ozzie

Realistically, yes, Hyperbole. But no denying this team is nowhere near even being competitive and yes, a slap in the face to those that were honored before the game. I'm glad Banks said it. Maybe that's what it will take to make ownership realize how far they have fallen.

That was just an except of a the full show, which goes into more detail

He's the radio analyst so what do you think he's doing every game?

To be fair, I don't get radio coverage here.

And in all honesty, I've ever heard Banks be too critical of the Giants. But a quick glance of his twitter feed, that appears to have changed.

Banks is changing his tune because he knows the people pushing his buttons are being proven correct.

He's been a company man. A mistake. Also a Jones defender. Tough when you are wrong.

Actually, he's talking about the Giants being a complete xxxx show so he's not defending Jones in this clip so he is not wrong, he is correct. We need more company men like Banks that actually played hard unlike Tibs and the rest of the jokers on this team. Don't give me the D only gave up 21 points. The Vikings stopped trying to score in the 3rd quarter. If they wanted they could have scored 40 or more.

I disagree completely on him being a company man.  He has ripped the Giants plenty.

He has been a massive Jones apologist for years. He has attacked fans who have been critical, including even calling such fans names. I think he called them goofballs (maybe he said they're goofy).

DB: Not directly related to this video clip, but Banks calls them as he sees them, and I never heard Papa disagree with any of his in-game observations (nor those of Howard Cross, who stands on the sideline). For years (and we KNOW he was correct) Banks has criticized the O-line for poor play and bad penalties (just one example). I suppose those statements can be seen as making excuses for Jones but he has also criticized Jones plenty when he thought the criticism was warranted. Bob
If Jeff Hostetler could do it, Daniel Jones can do it !!!

I have also thought the criticism of Jones was unfair and over the top.  Am I ever going to be thought of as a "company man" when it comes to the Giants?  Not by anyone who knows anything about me.

Not sure where I called Banks a "company man."
