I don't get Tua's aversion to sliding. Reminds me of our QB. Tua has a major concussion history though. He had the first down there if he slides. I don't get it. He just charged head first into the guy.

While I agree, what tends to happen is someone posts a DJ thread.  Let's say it is an article link.  After a few posts, stuff that was already said on the other DJ threads starts to get repeated.  I agree with the idea of trying to have 1 thread for each individual player.

I'm a member of my Australian Football club's board and they've set up threads for each player, each game, a thread about free agency, the draft, general news about the club, news about other clubs, etc. It's a very clean and organized look and can work as long as everyone agrees to operate within the discipline of the taxonomy of the board setup.

If you'd like to see an example of this, let me know and I'd be happy to post it for you to consider.

Peace!

I enjoy the multiple threads as members post different things about the player pertaining to that subject of discussion. If it bothers anyone then just move on from it

I find it hard to believe that you and many others only visit this forum and have no interest in other forums whether it is other sports, music, politics or hell basket weaving. What ever it is there is a forum out there. I can tell you that excessive creating of multiple threads with little variation in topic name or vague questions is completely frowned upon as it disrupts the layout of the main and subforums.

A Rangers board I visit is like that.  It will say, "Player Thread: Igor Shesterkin".  Doesnt mean he doesnt get brought up in other threads, but most of the discussion about Igor will go in there.

There are three things I find humors and ironic:

1. Attempting to resolve the "howling at the moon" "problem" by "howling at the moon" yourself.  You engage in the exact actions you complain about; specifically, repeating the same topic over-and-over again; to the point it's a now punch line.
2. Attempting  to resolve the "excessive DJ threads" by participating in every single one of them...
3. You complain about thread topics; yet, you have NEVER started a topic yourself!

If you want to see change, consider starting topics you want to discuss.  Moreover, if threads trigger you, simply avoid them.  Although, I hope you continue as the hypocrisy provides me a good chuckle.  Like the other thread where you complained about "curmudgeon" posters who only complain; the irony was, you were complaining about complainers. I did make me LOL, and I appreciated it very much appreciated it (no sarcasm).

Wow this is complete xxxxxxxx and a low blow! Why should I start more threads when I am the one pointing out that there are too many threads? We don't need any more. Everything that I need to say can put in any of the existing threads. What would be hypocrisy would be doing exactly what I am suggesting people stop over doing which is start a new thread! Get that through your thick skull.

The fact that this thread jack has turned into a discussion accomplishes exactly what I set out to do. Ed sent out a memo. We now have other members sharing their experiences on the layout of other forum which is similar to what I have experienced.

So Mr. King jerk does starting more threads = bigger Giants fan. Just curious if it's some sort of contest that I falling behind in.

Edit: Since you looked up my stats I decided to look up your. We both joined in 07 and have around 7,000-7,200 posts. You have started a grand total of FIVE threads. Hypocrite.

No, starting multiple threads doesn't make you a bigger Giant fans.  Where did I state that?  What I explicitly stated was it's unwise to callout posters who start threads, when you're unwilling to do so yourself.  If this board was filled with TDToomers, it would literally be empty.

And you are engaging in exactly what you are excusing others of doing; even Tim brought that to your attention. I suggest another COA; however, it's up to you.  Again, I appreciate them as they make me chuckle.

It's also ironic that you feel entitled to offer direct feedback, even to the owner, but when feedback is directed at you, you get defensive, and engage in name calling.

I am part of one other board and it is not related to football. That's it.

When I see something posted or someone I don't care for reading I simply scroll down, doesn't bother me whatsoever. But I do find nuggets throughout many of the different Jones threads. By the way - he is our star, leader and Captain so he should be talked about all the time

I have already explained why I don't feel the need to start new threads. I have no problem with anyone starting a thread that is new but pointed out the redundant one where the content could easily fit into an existing and active thread. As others on this very thread have pointed out that is the norm on other sports forums. It works out fine and it is laughable for you to suggest forum content would be empty. You are just making stuff up now.

I do get that this forum is run a little bit differently. I am offering suggestions, hoping some are taken, but you would rather just go to war with me over it.

I have no problem with direct feedback but you have crossed the line.
