To think losses especially a vast of games is somehow good say to be able to draft a QB fails to understand that it is a failure across nearly every position, every unit and every member of the coaching staff.  Morale plummets.  Bitterness ensues.  Infighting occurs.  Drafting a QB wont make all that go away.

Look guys we know this team stinks. It has had that smell for way too long and I know I am sick of it.
Really why win a few meaningless games, for what, to say we are on the right track. Jones wasn't horrible yesterday but we all know he just isn't the answer. Even thought I never like his pick I have never rooted for him to fail, now I will including the entire team.
Daboll just isn't prepared to be a HC
Bowens sucks as a DC
This team has no identity and hasn't for a very long time.
And, as of yet, Schoen hasn't done much to prove he is the wonder boy to get us out of this mess.
The German Bowl may determine who has the #1 pick and again sorry to have to say this but 'go Panthers'.

While I've not been a huge Schoen fan, I guess I was a Schoen apologist.  After yesterday, I'm done with him.  Terrible drafts, questionable moves like letting McKinney and Saquon walk for nothing, and not having an emergency kicker available.  There's more but it doesn't really matter, I'm done with him

0-16(17) is highly unlikely. But my dilemma is a little different. I want this season to be all about DJ. I hope he either crashes and burns, or becomes the second coming of Josh Allen...NOTHING IN BETWEEN. Let's figure it out once and for all. I don't want a 6 win season where DJ had some good games, and looked like crap in others...but still, just good enough to keep us from being able to draft a QB at the front end of the draft

It's painful because I like it when the Giants win games; however, this season is like none other. I was actually happy that Washington won the game at the end...otherwise, we'd be 1-1 and there'd be "hope". Something I have little of with this team right now, and I don't like being teased. Been there, done that - not only with this team, but certain relationships...which is neither here nor there. Forgive me for bithering

The fact that Keith Richards has outlived Richard Simmons, sure makes me question this whole, "healthy eating and exercise" thing

That is exactly my point Ric, seems like we are always being teased by this guy's performance or that guy's great game, but none of these are on any sort of consistent basis.
I have never been a fan of Jones, but he was my QB and I rooted for him to be successful, but it is now his 6th year and what we saw from day one is still the same guy with the same bad habits, even though he has bee 'tutored' by several of the supposedly best QB coaches--Why is he still making the same 'rookie' mistakes.
I am tired of all the excuses made for him, he is what he is an average QB who can make a decent throw at times, but never on a consistent basis. We have a HC who plays with under the number of players and should not be calling the plays. We have a DC who lets a rookie QB move up and down the field at will and never makes them punt.
Really, we need a big time house cleaning with the #1 draft pick and if losing every game gets us that, so be it.

Quote from: katkavage on September 16, 2024, 07:19:57 AMI agree. My pick was 5 wins. The good news is that there will not be the run on QBs this year as there was last year. The Raiders are in the hunt, but will win more than a few games. Will Carolina abandon Young after two years?
They will likely win more games with Dalton that Young.  So hopefully they can win one more than the Giants.
