Interesting

This is even worse than the Manning/Leaf drafting, as the Colts went first and grabbed Manning.  The Texans went second and grabbed Stroud.  This is approaching taking George Rogers instead of LT level bad

How to mentally break a young QB.

I'd started Dalton and brought Young in slowly.

Not sure he had much chance to succeed, but he does look like a bust

Some here don't like Mara, Tepper makes him look like a godsend.

But at least they are not waiting 6 years to move on, question is, do we now have competition for the #1 Pick that would also draft a QB?

Is Bo Nix the next of the "QB starting too soon" QB to be benched?
Mayo and the Pats are doing the right thing with Maye. You don't need to throw them into the fire day 1.

How long before NY sports radio hosts ask if the Giants should trade for him?

I think this actually helps the Giants. Andy Dalton is decent enough that they can pull out a win or two somewhere in their schedule (Atlanta, Giants).

The Germany Game could be NFL Toilet Bowl 2024 with the Jints/Cats. My goodness, what a showcase, Mein Duetchland.

Actually, I think its the best game to go this year-fun Germans and crowd sing-a-alongs.

So far, none of the rookie QBs are really lighting it up (no TDs among them this week)

The rookie QBs have yet to throw a TD this year.

The big Daniel Jones excuse has always been "you can't do anything with this offensive line", at least for yesterday, you cannot use that excuse for Bryce Young. Young was pressured on just 4 of 29 dropbacks in Week 2, the lowest rate of any starting QB. This dude just flat out can't play.

There's no way we're outtanking the Panthers; they're on their way to 0-17.

Nice to know a team doesn't need to take long to give up on a QB.

This benching may have had David Tepper's meddling fingerprints on it. From what I read (and I have only read a little bit to this point), Canales was very supportive of Young in the post game presser and said things like "Bryce is our guy." Then suddenly the next morning he announces he's benching him.

Now, I'm not suggesting Canales would have immediately announced in the post-game presser that Young was going to be benched, but he probably wouldn't have pledged his support only to reverse that support less than 24 hours later. There are other ways coaches usually approach that situation.

Obviously I have no knowledge of what actually happened behind the scenes, but it would not surprise me at all if he got pressure from the owner to make this change.
