My dude .... Totally slayed an Eagle last night . The funny thing is when was the last time Mahomes did something like that without 15 yard bs pi penalty calls. I honestly cannot remember......

I don't even know that you are speaking English right now.

What question are you asking?

Fletch

When was  the last time Mahomes did something like that with no ref assistance  ie. what Kirk cousins did on MNF; last minute td drive against a contender without ref help?.

Pretty clear Roger Greedells NFL elves are to manufacture hype around Mahomes . Which is not to say he's not a really great QB, but I just cannot remember the last time it wasn't some damn penalty to assist a last minute aTD drive ; whether that was against the eagles in a Super Bowl ; or last week against the Bengals or the week before against the Ravens.

I guess the other part of this is I appreciate Kirk Ciusins fine athletic play and beating the eagles. And I don't even want to start drawing parallels between our current qb / salaries  :surprise:

Yeah, his recent 34/46 333 passing yards/66 rushing yards and 2 TD MVP Super Bowl performance was meh.

Patrick Mahomes is the NFLs best player...period dot.

Fletch

OK so you have to count Overtime for the only time he threw for over 300 yards in a SB. You really were thrilled by that game? I almost went to bed in the middle of the 4th qtr, and regret not doing so. And furthermore, you didn't answer the question.

Hopefully one day Patrick Mahomes can sling it like Mike Glennon.

Can you think of a more recent example than just 3 games ago???? Hahaha.

I mean 400 total yards in the biggest game of the year is boring! Haha

Fletch

So you're counting  Overtime , and a TD or lose situation after playing nearly 5 Qtrs of football? Yea that's totally fair.

I agree. Totaling 400 yards in the biggest game against one of the best defenses in the NFL is super impressive.

It doesn't compete with the legend of Mike Glennon, but impressive nonetheless.

In 18 playoff games - Patrick Mahones

46 TDs
8 INTs
3 SB MVPs

You like that? I sure as hell do!

Fletch

Mahomes has help. While the drive in question may not have been with the assistance of the refs; a lot of this is Andy Reid and Kelce and what a number of QBs could have done. It also would be been better if it happened a quarter before

A lot of the drive is like screens ; slants on short routes ; misdirection ; designed runs and get the ball to Kelce and watch him run. That's mostly Reid cooking that up and not to mention a really tired 9ths defense that play  one extra qtr of football

"You like that" was practically 90 percent on him.

And bringing this back on topic that second to last play from the MNF clip would have been PI and the ball spotted on the 1 yard line if it were the Chiefs and not the Falcons

Fletch

At least I finally figured out why I don't really like watching the Chiefs and am really sick and tired of them and Mahomes. While the Reid playbook may have a high rate of consistency and effectiveness; it feels like a cheap suit or something

Well you never understood what great QB play is. So understanding and watching the chiefs can be confusing.

Only if they had Mike Glennon...
