Was it me or did anyone else notice that the stadium was sort of half-empty? The end zone seats were all full, but then they showed a pan on the middle of the field seats, more seemed empty than full.

Not much to get excited about in Cleveland. Their offense is abysmal. The QB is not only dreadful, the offensive line, with numerous injuries, is the worst in the NFL. No chance they make the playoffs this year though their defense, if healthy, might win them a few more games.

The Browns when healthy have one of the better rosters in the league. Case in point, they won 11 games last year playing without their starting QB and starting RB for basically the whole season. In fact, they made the playoffs with an aging journeyman QB.

Right now they have a lot of injuries, many to critically important players. It's only week four though. If they get healthy, I would not write them off to at least be in the hunt for a wildcard berth.

I also thought the stadium looked empty. Weird. They had high hopes for the year and the weather was nice. I know the team has disappointed, but it's only Week 3.

I surfed their websites before the game. The beat writers and fans all predicted an easy victory. Five beat writers predicted a Browns win with three saying a blowout was in order. Of course the fans followed suit with ridiculous score predictions.

Is it possible the stands weren't filled because just about all of the fans thought it was going to be a Browns' blowout?

Still not an excuse as a fanbase ... they were 1-1 and favorites against the Giants to go 2-1.... Even when your team sucks the stadium should be at least 80% full in a football game but again they were 1-1 ... none of what you said is an excuse for them

Browns had the rare gift of getting their team back after losing them once already .... If that is how their games look like then they honestly might've deserved it

As a Nets fan who was pissed and still posed to this day we lost the team but it's the NJ fanbase for not filling the stadium or wanting to be wannabe New Yorkers and rooting for Knicks

Just my 2 cents

In fairness to Cleveland, the villain was Art Modell who moved the team to Baltimore but the Browns' trademark, as well as their history, stayed in Cleveland for the new team after the new stadium was built and play resumed in 1999.

Of course, there is the argument that Modell did do much for the city of Cleveland but the stadium deals, with the old building, was screwing Modell despite all his philanthropy to the city, as the story went.

This current Browns era has not been successful and their fans have felt the pain of watching Modell's Ravens win the Super Bowl against the Giants; the worst possible "in your face" moment the team has ever experienced, the two-dozen quarterbacks who have started for them in the quarter century of their current existence and the fans knowing their team is not even close to contending for a divisional title, much less the Super Bowl.

Cleveland fans have every right to feel far more jaded than any other team. Not just for football, but baseball as well. In contrast,we complain about the Giants; however, the trophy case still has four Lombardi trophies and five George Halas trophies lighting up the room. In Cleveland, however, their modern era trophy case is completely bare, save for a few cobwebs. Although their pre-Super Bowl era section shows off the achievements under Paul Brown, everything goes silent after 1964. If you do the math, that's 60 years with nothing to show for their efforts.

Now, bringing it back to Lenn's original post, would YOU be that much of a die-hard to be a Browns' season ticket holder? For those that do, I have to say I respect the masochists they really are because that is a level of dedication and hope none of us here have ever been through before.

Peace!
