No doubt the Giants had many opportunities to win this game.  But when they're at the Dallas three that was Daboll being gutless kicking the FG.

Daboll is the worst coach in the NFL.

Those second and long runs all game were just money.

I would have gone for the TD.  However, if he does go for it, and Slayton drops another pass or Jones throws it 4 yards behind the target, Daboll gets blamed for not "taking the dang points" so to be fair he's screwed either way.  I get the thinking for taking the FG even though I wouldn't. Of all the reasons they lost that game I don't think that decision cracks the top 5 personally.

Excellent point. 2nd and 11 once or twice at home and this moron is running

Daboll or otherwise, there can be no consolation whatever when a team cannot score a Touchdown no matter when or from where it is on the field.

Cheers!

No one attempt at the end zone. That bothers me so much to go through the entire game and not attempt the end zone.

Me TOO!!!!!...none of bear reporters are picking up on this.

That is on Jones

The Giants have no passing game between the hash marks and the light shines brightest on that deficiency when near the end zone.
I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you read is not what I meant - Robert McCloskey (if he were on this Forum)

There were routes run into the end zone on those plays.

They need a Tight End that can catch in the end zone and middle of the field.  this team does not have one and doesn't even try to use what they have ..Talk about Dubble not have confidence in Jones or whoever, he doesn't even use the TE anywhere on the field !!!!
Ingram was the last pass catching TE the Giants have had .....and we all know how many of Elis passes he dropped and let go off his hands..... but the position is necessary on any offense /.... Who did Dallas go to in a few series to move the ball up the field etc. The TE ?
Dallas 's te's have killed the Giants for years.
Blame Jones blame Dibble blame every body     ....but until they can get an effective TE there offense will never be complete. Nabors or no Nabors....

When it comes to being aggressive and gambling, this is always been my position:

If you are the less talented/capable team, be very aggressive and make the gambles in an effort to overcome the talent deficit.

If you are the more talented team be conservative to avoid bad thing happening that can negate the natural talent advantage.

Either Daboll is too conservative by nature, or he overestimates the talent he has to work with.

seriously. i get it dallas has had an awful run defense and we were moving it decent through the air. but just do whats been working. the short pass and screen game was probably the best we've run it in years. why move away from that.

4 Aces

It was the play sequence itself that ticked me off.

*First and G from the 10. DJ rolls right and hits Wan'dale in the flat but for some reason Robinson runs his route out of bounds with no one around him and is just standing OOB when the pass gets to him. Never seen that before.

*Then the give up call, a run up the gut for 2 yards on 2nd and 10.

*3rd and G from the 8 he uses the Nabers decoy/Wan'dale behind him play which had a very low chance to score, particularly running it to the near side of the field. However, this play is defensible if you already know you're going for it on 4th down as it likely gets you close.

*But on 4th and 3, he kicks the FG, making the previous 2 play calls difficult to understand.

Well said Aces. I don't recall one time a play call that involved a pass in the end zone. I'm usually not someone who is critical of play calling. But Daboll's ultra conservative approach is head scratching.
