With 5 weeks of college football now under our belts, what is your guys' updated power rankings for top 5 QB prospects who are very likely (or certainly) coming out this year?

I think I'd go:

1. Shedeur
2. Milroe
3. Ewers
4. Ward
5. Allar

Close between Allar and Dart but I think I have to lean Allar as he's putting up elite efficiency numbers and he has a great size advantage. The above could definitely change but that's probably where I stand right now.

I concur. Dart dropped after yesterday's game. Beck isn't even in the same league with this group anymore. Sanders just looks so polished and fluid. He sees the field extremely well and his passes are pinpoint. I know he will never be a Giant but he's creme.

I thoroughly agree.

I didn't have a lot of conviction last year on Shedeur. I knew he could play and generally liked what I saw of him, but the games I watched just seemed like he was up against such absurdly bad defenses that it was hard to tell.

When I watch him more closely this year, I see a polished, terrific thrower of the football who throws with touch, accuracy, and (when he needs to) velocity. Just as importantly if not more so, I see a guy with tremendous pocket awareness and pocket mobility who doesn't panic. I'm definitely a fan.

Milroe I am liking more and more. He was very noticeable last week to me and last night he looked nothing short of sensational. Normally with these Bama QBs you have to be careful with evaluations because they have 5 star guys all around them, but he was up against Georgia which is a similar caliber program. It's clear that this year's UGA team isn't as good as this year's Bama team, but for Milroe to be that dominant was nonetheless impressive.

He looks big and strong out there too, he runs with authority and deftness, and he throws the ball very well.

He and Shedeur are really standing out right now. I do think Ewers has ability though. Bit of a drop-off after that, although I don't want to sell Ward short as I'm aware he is doing some big things this year. I'd like to see more with him though.

Milroe reminds me of Jalen Hurt.  Good arm who is athletic and can beat you with his legs.  I like Milroe's demeanor.

Sanders has great touch and vision.

Like both.  Also like Moss.

The rest are not NFL starting QBs.

Giants need to do whatever they have to do to be in position to draft one of the top two.

Trench

Well it would start with making a QB change. Saves $$ on Jones incentives too

Jolly Blue Giant

I've heard so much good about Carson Beck that he's "the next Justin Herbert"..."the best QB in the draft", etc., etc.

Then I watched him last night and wow, a disappointment. I've had a secret man-crush that he'd be the next NY Giants' QB. He threw for a lot of yards (439 yds) and 3 TDs, but also 3 interceptions. Of course, Alabama has a good defense. Regardless, now my man-crush is not what it was

The fact that Keith Richards has outlived Richard Simmons, sure makes me question this whole, "healthy eating and exercise" thing

Philosophers

I see too many Will Levis, Matt Corral types in this draft class with QBs who look good in college but will not be good NFL QBs.

Shedeur Sanders - This kid has an "it" factor when it comes to intangibles of playing QB.  Things like the amount of loft/air to put under a pass, the amount of speed to put on a throw, seeing the field, not b!tching at his OL for their constant failures to protect him.  It's been almose DJ like how bad his OL is.

Jalen Milroe - Not only has this kid done well, he's done well with two different head coaches in Nick Saban and Kalen DeBoer.  In fact, he's playing even better under DeBoer and a new offensive system.  Milroe has NFL athleticism coupled with live arm.

They are my two favs at this point.

Alabama jumps up to #1 in the AP poll. Top 5:
Alabama
Texas
Ohio St
Tennessee
Georgia

I humbly stand corrected!

I didn't think this would happen. I can't say they don't deserve it - I just didn't think 4 would go all the way to 1 on this one game. Kudos to whoever called it.

Beck's throws were almost always offtarget.  His release on touch throws is slow.

My hope for the Giants is that we get a Travis hunter at the top of the draft and a milroe in the 2nd. Either that or trade our 1st and load up for 2026

If they are loading up for 2026 it's sayonara to Schoen and Daboll after 2025.

I believe strongly Milroe will be a top 15 draft pick.  He'll rise steadily.

Sanders has a lot of talent; but his mental makeup is concerning. Several weeks ago he walked off the field with 9 minutes remaining. There have also been other incidents. His immaturity and questionable attitude may result in many teams wondering if they want him to be their Face of the Franchise
