The Giants went to the well with him too much. Now he's hurt!

Can't disagree.  He's had more than 20% more targets than any other receiver in the league.(52)

And Wandale has the 4th most targets.(38)

Slayton's way down the list (15)

Collectively, from Slayton on down to the bottom, the receivers and backs have fewer targets than Nabers.  Nabers and Robinson heve 90 targets.  Everyone else have 46.

It will be very interesting to see how the targets shake out in the next game without Nabers.
I'd rather be a disappointed optimist than a vindicated pessimist.

This will be the week that they run the ball more.
I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.

They have gone from a slim and none chance of winning, to slim skipping town.

and I read on another post that Singletary is doubtful with a hamstring.

I guess the D could shut them out and get a safety or pick-6 to win the game?  The offense certainly isn't scoring.

Quote from: files58 on October 04, 2024, 05:58:10 PMThe Giants are going to get run over this Sunday. Like a tank rolling over a watermelon. It's not Schoen's or Dabol's fault if that happens.
With all due respect, whose fault will it be ??`

Heck, we beat them up there with Colt McCoy and NO Saquon and the much maligned Joe Judge on the sidelines.  An 8 - 3 Seahawks team in first place in their division.  Wayne Gallman running for 135 yards.

Daboll is at fault!...he has overused Nabers and at the rate we are going he will get the kid seriously injured. Use the rest of your offense and not just one player where the defense begins to really anticipate where it's going and take many extra hard hits as a result

Looks like Singletary is out, too.  I'm very surprised the point spread only went up a half point, from 6.5 to 7.  I fear a one-sided affair.

I agree. Nabers alone is worth more than half a point.

Maybe we should put a jar with a sign that reads "Fault Jar." Everytime someone says something is someone's fault, that person has to put a contribution in the jar. When all is said and done, donate the jar to a good cause.

Any takers?

Peace!

"Dave Jennings was one of the all-time great Giants. He was a valued member of the Giants family for more than 30 years as a player and a broadcaster, and we were thrilled to include him in our Ring of Honor. We will miss him dearly." (John Mara)

Holy overreaction Batman. This is not a season ending injury! He will be back for game 6. Concussions suck but it's not an ACL.

This team has two great players (Thomas, Lawrence)..and a great young rookie in Nabers. The rest is average, at best. Mistakes they can't afford on any level and the season is only 4 games in.

Ugh

Poor Daboll. He gets blamed for not enough balls going to Hyatt. And now it's also his fault that Nabers is hurt because TOO MANY balls are going to him.

Take a few of the balls to Nabers and give them to Hyatt and everybody is happy!   But also he's not the one throwing the ball.  Jones locks in on Nabers and he's gonna throw it there.  Open or not.
