I think Chris Long did a really excellent segment on this mysterious firing that Aaron Rodgers claims he had nothing to do with. A refreshingly BS-free take on the situation.

1) Saleh wanted to have someone other than Hackett call plays (forgot the guys name).

2) Woody spoke with Rodgers on the phone prior to the firing.  Woody claims that the conversation had nothing to do with the decision.

Saleh may not be a good HC, but this firing is classic Jets and it reeks of a past his prime QB having way too much say with an over reaching owner.  Why is the GM still there?

What is the Jets defense ranked?
What is the Jets offense ranked?

And Hackett was demoted anyway. I've changed my mind on the idea of Rodgers being behind the firing, because if anything, Hackett would've been promoted rather than demoted if Rodgers was pulling the strings here.

I think the political aspect is the likely cause at this point.

You think you're going a little over the top on this? I watched him play against the patriot s in a Thursday night game and it was like watching a maestro conducting a symphony. The following game it was pouring rain the whole game and , then there was a London game which even Lamar Jackson looks weird / London games are always weird.

Not making excuses and the Jets are not as good as the hype but, the weak link was coaching. I just cannot see a Robert salad goi g up against like the 49ers and their coaches or Mcveigh or Andy Reid or whatever playoff bound team and think it's not an instant advantage to the other team.

Then again I can't see a 41 year old qb stay healthy all season and the playoffs and make it to a sb. So there's that. But he's not a good hc. And it's just that simple. Plus teams play harder when their coach gets fired . It seems to light a fire under everyone who has been slacking off 😂 lol
