You're right. Jones is amazing. His constant failure has nothing to do with him. $40mm a year is actually the deal of a century for us. He should be getting $60mm. Just needs a better supporting cast and better play calling.

It's cliche for fans to blame play calling when the players fail to execute.  Fans have blamed the OC for over a decade now. 

My critique of the coaching was independent of my critique of Jones ability.

If you were a coach of team with QB who couldn't throw the ball well, would you call a bunch of passing plays because that's how the game is played and point your figure at the QB for failing to execute during the post game press conference?  Or would you adjust your game plan?

Never said he was amazing.  As I said I would like you to see them try another WB also ... but it is not going to happen

I hear you but I fundamentally disagree.  Coaching is not going to overcome marginal talent. We have a talent problem on Offense, which is exacerbated by a key injury.  We're not hitting the plays that are available.  It's not a coaching issue, it's a talent issue...

You're absolutely right. Quality depth on the O Line and in the secondary are the two key areas. Hit the reset button on all the QBs, another top round WR, TE, P, K.

The jury is out on the head coach.

The General Manager needs to take a long, hard look at himself in the mirror and make some difficult decisions to steer this thing in the right direction, and KEEP it in the right direction.

It is terribly frustrating to watch this same $hit$how every time these two teams play.

But here's the catch. Even if Thomas was healthy, this $hit$how would be playing out exactly as we're seeing it go down ... which is in flames.
