Jones is done... and Lock is even worse ....Ignorant and stupid decision to run with either of them in a lost season...

Tommy is young ... low ceiling ... but who gives AF right now... put him in and pray for a miracle...We won 3 games in a row with him last season lets pray for that again this season

Im sick of this sh** ... Lock does NOTHING for this team... nothing improves

DaveBrown74

I would probably put Tommy in as well.

Jones is clearly done as a Giant. Don't risk the injury clause at this point. At 2-5 the season is 99% over.

Looking at 2023 and 2024 combined to this point, DeVito is the most deserving QB to play. I'm not saying he's good, but the evidence does not suggest he's worse than any other option we have.

Exactly....

We know what we got in DJ and we know what we got in Lock

Devito we had some snippets of good play

Give him the last 10 games ..we have nothing to lose

Two things happen... we strike gold... maybe go on a streak

or the season remains lost in an already lost season and we draft a QB

LennG

Sorry I disagree.
With Tommy we have a better chance at winning games ---- for what a worse draft pick?
Sit Jones and play Lock that way we insure a better draft pick.
Isn't that the goal?
I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.

I was about to post the same notion, Lenn; ironically, continuing to start DJ gives us the best chance to draft his replacement. Today, he couldn't even manage 100 yards passing.   However, the DJ injury clause is a GIANT concern; he gets one more game next week and that's it.

You're aware of Jones' injury clause and the ramifications for the franchise if he sustains a serious injury, correct?

As much as I am sure the season is over... Still 10 games left IDK if I can get on board with a straight TANK at this point

Even though I know deep down that is probably our best option

Did you ever consider the fact that no QB can play this game with such horrific offensive line play and zero pass protection? 8 sacks, 10 hits, 10 hurries with no running game - I don't care if you resurrect Joe Montana. Until you fix this offensive line, it's a moot point.

Todge,

Do you think the O line has played poorly all season?

He's been asked that question at least 3x and thus far has refused to answer it, for obvious reasons.  How can he, as an an honest answer directly refutes his persistent lectures. The FACTS are, with plus pass-protection, playing against bottom half defenses, in perfect weather conditions, our offense was 29th in scoring.

And they were 2-4 with a serviceable line.

Honestly, when will the excuses end?

Perhaps, just perhaps, after 60 something games. He's. Just. Not. Good. Enough.

What will it take for the 4-6 posters here's that hold onto Jones realise that?

Is it that 18 months ago these posters were doing cartwheels about finding the "franchise qb" and anything less than that means they'll have to dial it back and apologise to the "haters" as they were categorically wrong?

Perhaps the intellectual dishonesty runs throughout this board.

Guys - Just own your mistake. It's cool. Let's just all move on together and give the next guy 60 something games.  /sarcasm/

No.  Neither has Jones.  When the OL played well he had decent games.  Not great games, but decent ones.
I'd rather be a disappointed optimist than a vindicated pessimist.

Not slowing my roll

He was a $40MM QB with a top-10 pass blocking line, star WR... And they put up less than 20 points basically. If you just get "decent" with that, you've got a problem and it's the QBs capability. Jones had non-competitive throwing ability greater than 15 yards downfield. You cannot threaten defenses like that. The Bengals dared him to do anything past 10 and he couldn't. He is a major contributing factor to the offense being horrible.

No but the loss of Thomas crippled the line. The other losses were due to other reasons.

I've never refused to answer anything. All I've said is that it's not all on the QB. There are 21 other guys and a coaching staff that contribute to Ws and Ls.

There are a variety of other factors that are different each game. Jones was 12th in QBR before the Cincy game. His own coach stated he was "locked in". The Giants lost those games because they had no kicker in one. They are third in the league in drops including several in crucial situations.

Today's game was on the OL. I just don't know how that even debatable.  No team is going to win when the OL yields 7 sacks, 9 hits and nine hurries.

So you're saying it is all about the QB and if you change that, the Giants will be great again. Good luck! Is all I can say.
