All that talent on that team and they continue to lose.  What is the problem there?  No heart, no grit and it starts at QB as Aaron Rodgers is terrible and a shell of his former self.  He is not fiery leader like Tom Brady but a strange dude with a weird personality.

Great example of the missing piece.

Rodgers sadly is getting up there in age, and has had plenty of injuries even prior to last year. Not all greats play to 45 like Brady. He is just in decline.

Throw in all the picks they traded away to go all in for him, and the next few years look pretty dark for the Jets, especially given Adams might be an 11 game rental, Reddick may never sign, thats a couple wasted picks right there, plus what they traded for Rodgers and anyone else.

Hard to commiserate about another bad team when we wallow in failure.

We have no potential to be good.  My point is Jets do with their talent and they're failing.  That's even more frustrating as a fan.

The Jets and Aaron Rodgers seem to think that Rodgers is the second coming of Tom Brady.   In every way that matters he is clearly not.  He is not beating father time like Brady.   Rodgers is not as smart about the game of football and team building as Brady.   Rodgers simply isn't playing as well as Brady.

When you build your team around a misconception (Rodgers = Brady) this is the result you get.
SMART, TOUGH, DEPENDABLE

Agreed. As we know - there's no 'sure thing' re: the QB position but when it's wrong, it's wrong for all to see and this is the result.

Maybe the HC wasn't the problem there.

Idk what Rodgers is making and don't care to google it atm, but I am willing to wager he isnt taking paycuts like Brady did either

On Jets boards they are saying, "Imagine Being a Giants' Fan"
I'd rather be a disappointed optimist than a vindicated pessimist.

Not slowing my roll

He signed a restructured deal in 2023 that pays him $112.5 million through end of 2025.  Yowza!!!

I think their talent is very overrated. The OL is mediocre, and Rodgers is a shell of himself. Plus it looks like they can be run on. Obviously at 2-5, against a weak schedule, they are no where near advertised. In fact right now they would draft ahead of us because of their weaker schedule. Next season they will have no QB after Rodgers retires, and no HC. Its ridiculous, or pathetic (one or the other) that Woody thinks this is the most talented team he has every had.

An old QB that was slowing down to begin with suffers a major injury and misses the entire season.  He's not a bum and entirely shot but it's obvious he's a shell of his former self.  Add to that the trouble they have protecting him.

Beyond that I agree with the previous poster.  They have some solid players but as a unit look overrated.  Especially what was supposed to be this tremendous defense.

After firing the head coach the desperation move of trading for Adams was stupid and unnecessary.
