The coach has certainly brought them to a certain point but his history suggests that's his limit.  He's below .500 in the playoffs and in this series he's being massively out coached.

To play against a team that plays at a relentless pace the whole game on both O and D the Knicks need a deep bench to rotate players in/out without a drop off.  They dont have that.  Tough matchup for them.

Bridges embodies this team- has moments then vanishes on both ends of the court. There's no chemistry with this group. The Pacers have an identity and work well under a superior coach in Carlyle. The Knicks just don't react as a unit, especially on defense.

I think Kat needs the ball more to his liking, but disappears because he always in foul trouble. And Brunson can't do it alone. Team depth...another point guard..sharpshooter and capable rim protector that doesn't leave the offense 4 on 5 like Robinson does, is needed.

I think what was said is dead on.  They have a great collection of talent but they just don't gel well.  The roster needs a couple of tweaks and for the love of god they need a defensive system of some kind.

Yannis is taking vacations in NY, the smoke is real. Towns plus picks, plus a 3rd team for Yannis.

Pacers aren't a great rebounding or defensive team, but they pressure the ball on offense and defense...make you work very hard with their depth. They have an identity and strategy that is obvious. The Knicks are like a team of pick up guys at the playground that don't. Yes, there's talent but nothing cohesive or consistent. That has to change. Yannis trade Id sign up for today. Okay, he has mileage on him but would immediately help their defense..plus bring a low post game in addition to running the floor.

They can't win with this group. Sorry. Time for Rose to change the paradigm and admit it.

KAT is the enigma with this group. Puzzling.. frustrating..Now Thibs has to take some blame here because he obviously coached him with the Timberwolves and signed off, I'm sure on the deal.

If they can move him in the off-season..go for it. Defense and shooters should be the priority. A point guard that can defend too to spell Brunson.

Did the job not losing the series at home.  Puts a little pressure on Indiana to avoid a game 7.

They gave up all their picks this past offseason.

Was a nice relaxing watch for a change.
Hoping for the best in Indy.  I have no worries about our effort in Indy.  I'm just worried the Pacers will hit all their shots in Indy.  We'll see.  We are still alive!  I'll take it!

I hate to complain after years of putrid ball & now being legit one of the better teams in the league...but I have to wonder if running it back would've been the better idea.  Randle isn't quite as good as KAT, but we would've had Donte off the bench plus another 1st round pick.  If we would've moved Mitch's salary, I think we could've kept I-Hart (I could be wrong, but I think that's right).  Then we still could've added Bridges.  Plus, we'd likely have a pick from moving Mitch AND the 1st we gave up in the Towns trade.  Could've used those picks to tweak the bench.  IDK - just talkin here.  I'm still happy with the run we are having.  Just loved last year's squad a little more.

I'm worried about a Haliburton explosion after this no show tonight.  I'm also so annoyed about game one.  But, we get a shot atleast to get it back home for a game 7.

I'm with you on both.  Game 6 Halliburton scares me.  & that Game 1 collapse reminded me of the Desean Jackson game.  So many things had to go wrong to even make the absurd ending possible.  Could haunt us for a while.

I was just happy to see the Knicks play "hardball" from the opening tip off to the final buzzer. No "playing 'not-to-lose' strategy" at the end with a decent lead...like game 1

This is the best team the Knicks have put on the floor in a long, long, long time. If they play like they did last night, they could be champs. But as a life long Knick fan, I am already prepared for the fall. Regardless, fun game to watch last night
You can never actually lose a homing pigeon - if your homing pigeon does not return, what you've lost is a pigeon

In game 6 the Knicks need to show Indy what NYC schoolyard basketball is all about. Haliburton early on needs to get an "inadvertent" elbow somewhere where he feels it all game. Ribs, cheek, mouth, take your pick, or picks. Indy can run, shoot etc. I don't think they have the stomach for a survival fight. Set some really hard picks, really hard. I'm thinking Lambier, and Mahorn like. Show them that basketball is an inner city game, not a prairie shoot around. Screw that Hoosier crap. I know the game is soft, and reffed as such. If the Knicks lose make them pay a steep price.
