Seeing how the games have been going, Cleveland beating Baltimore, the Jets losing the NE, and other upsets, I predict a close game. The point spread, I think is 6.5 which isn't huge considering how everyone seems to feel about this game. I think the Giants cover and if they win, it will be due to a major Steeler letdown. I'm not sure Tomlin lets that happen, but it's human nature.

This game reminds me of the Seattle one. You couldn't find one person who predicted a Giant victory with the vast majority predicting a Seattle blowout. But in the NFL any team can beat another. You can't handicap officials flags, turnovers, breaks etc. Far too many fans think that how a team played last week is exactly how they're going to play this week.

But I'll give this a shot. The great unknown is how the offensive line plays. If they can give DJ adequate time in the pocket, he can make any throw of any length. People forget he played very well for a three week stretch rising to 12th in QBR until his only real weapon went down (Nabers) and he lost his left tackle (7 sacks, 10 hits, 10 hurries and no running game.

Teams win and lose games, not QBs. I believe the Giants can cover the +6.5 spread and even win outright. Giants 24-21.

We've just witnessed the New Jersey Jets cash in their chips and leave the table for the 2024/5 season.

I'm afraid the NJ Giants will do the same thing in a few short hours.

Thank goodness for the Liberty. We'll at least have one franchise we don't have to apologize for.

Go, Big Blue.

The line went down to 6 with some shops at 5.5. Sharp money is on the Giants.

Ted,

I was surprised to see it, but most sports books are down to 5.5.  Steelers are not an offensive juggernaut but they have scored 30+ the last two games.

Guess my point is that the Giants defense has held it's own and maybe the sharps think its going to be low scoring game which by nature is usually close.

I expect an ugly game, No AT, depleted secondary, other players dinged up and Jones in a primetime game?

This is going to be bad, I just hope Nabers bails out my fantasy teams.

Steelers 34
Giants 12

I think we will see what many of us are wanting to see as much as a win - fight, toughness, pride. My head says they can win it, but my heart just feels another stinging loss.

Giants up 16-14 and give up a game winning FG as time expires.  ~X(
....or maybe they miss the FG.

I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you read is not what I meant - Robert McCloskey (if he were on this Forum)

Just as an FYI, the Steelers have not lost at home on Monday Night Football in 33 years.

Their opponent in that 1991 loss? That would be none other than the New York Football Giants.

Keep in mind that Giants team won a Superbowl just months before that MNF win in Pitt. SLIGHTLY different from our current team, but I digress.
