What was wrong Jets offense and/or Rodgers? He had a 111 Rtg.; threw 2 TDs  which could have been 3 but the WR got tackled on the 1 and they ran it in; and 200 plus yards passing. The Jets loss was really on the D. Jacoby Brisset w / a game winning TD in the last 2 min of the game/ not to mention giving up 20 plus points--to the Patriots-- when you are supposed to be a super bowl caliber D??

Not sure who is in a worse boat. Strangely the Giants defense looks better thn the Jets. Credit Schoen with good rookie drafting and free agent acquisitions and their new DC.

What are the Jets contract woes? Not sure what happens if a player retires

Wow what happened to Geno? Not even a TD or 200 yards in the air. They looked good and Allen threw a pick .... in the red zone. i went for a long walk  and this happened lol.

BTW a lot of Bills gear in my hood in Manhattan now which is a lot of transients but , still.... Lota Mets fans too which is good.

What happened to Geno is simple: I picked him up as my starting QB in my FF league. Sorry Seattle 🤷🏼♂️

Commanders Oline is pretty dang good!! Daniels has all day back there it seems.
Ain't nothing to it but to do it!

Quote from: Messiah717 on October 27, 2024, 04:16:42 PMThe Jets are an absolute dumpster fire.
The Jet fans and the media all thought the Jets were a QB away from being a Super Bowl contender. Rodgers would be the missing ingredient. Just goes to show that the other 21 guys and the coaches all impact Ws and Ls. But we'll still blame Jones for the Giant problems and all we need is a high Draft pick to solve the problem.

Caleb Williams and Jayden Williams have been lighting up the scoreboard with really good QB play. Chicago and Washington both lost their left tackles. Both have struggled to play well. The Giants lost their left tackle and the expectations from many is that DJ should be able to overcome that.  Interesting.

Was wondering if Maye was pulled because he was playing poorly or if he got hurt.

Yeah, it has absolutely nothing to do with Rodgers diminished skills; he's close to 41 years old. This is not a major revelation...you could see it coming.

Oh, you have a single anecdote about a QB not changing the fate of a team with the Jets (nevermind an aging, recently injured one)? What about CJ Stroud immediately making the Texans into contenders? Why bother to reference one data point to defend DJ when it's a horrible comparison?

Bears are 4-2 with Caleb and the Commanders 5-2 with Daniels. If the Giants had either record you wouldn't pay one iota of attention to DJ's individual stats if they were unimpressive and would talk about whether the team was winning or losing. Hell, even with the Giants losing constantly with one of the worst offenses in the NFL you defend it by referencing a throwaway line from a single post-game presser (Daboll said DJ was executing the offense as well as anyone). You only care about DJ's stats when they support your perception (he "rose to 12th in QBR" ... ignoring his precipitous fall), but attack other QBs who are performing better.

It's an amazing level of cognitive dissonance to defend an average at best QB.

Unbelievable ending to the Wash/Chicago game.  But, overall, a real sleeper with not very good play from either team.

That said, a few of those teams with 1 loss are now with 2 losses, tied with us. If we continue our 'wonderful' play we may yet hit that #1 pick. We do need to lose to Carolina though and root for Tenn to win a few games.
I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.

Suddenly Bobby Johnson can coach OL.

I can't believe Washington won that game.  Ridiculous Hail Mary.

Unfortunately, there are still those who think everyone is Tom Brady.  Sure, Rodgers can still play a bit but he's clearly limited.

Daniels has a good weed connection or something because he looked like he was out on a Sunday stroll walking his dog after that play that will be replayed for decades.

The dude has that it factor!

I don't care how old he is, or how many injuries he had in college, or if he couldn't answer Daboll's questions during his interview as quickly/precisely as Maye......

Dude got some Ben Roethlisberger type magic going on!

Love to have him as our QB!!!

Hate the fact he's going to eat our assess for lunch for years to come!!!

He wasn't good in 2022 with GB. As in, he wasn't even average--he was below that mark. It's not crazy at all that after a serious injury and now another year down the drain that he simply might not be that good. He'll flash because he's an all-time great, but not because he's still great.

They might have had some juice if he didn't get hurt last year but another issue is that overall they're not nearly as good a team as they thought.  I mean they're not a top defense by any means.
