He's a young player; from my perspective, his pass pro could be better, which takes time to learn.  There were also two drop passes.

I'll be honest, if he's putting up 140 yards a game. I couldn't care less about his pass protection.

Points to the folly of these grades - not with standing I appreciate Rich's efforts and I find them interesting.

@MrGap92

This is correct

His rushing grade (80.4) was dragged down by his pass blocking (46.9) and receiving (38.8)

There were quite a few drops last night, across the board. Far far too many penalties also.

Drops have been plaguing this team all year

Very true, Sem; some of those we're just going to accept as a byproduct of being a very young football team.  Nabers, Tracy, and Theo should be afforded some time to adjust to the NFL game.

Rich - what was Chris Hubbard's score? He was horrific in pass protection often not even so much as touching his man. Wondering how he graded out in run blocking

Probably a little of both.  Drops are often an indication of a lack of attention to detail or lack of concentration.  It can also be an indicator of a player's lack of ability.  With so many players dropping balls, I think it's an organizational rather than an individual issue.

When a RB who was a former WR is suffering the drops, it makes one wonder

We should give them all 6 years minimum to make sure they are the future of this team.

In my opinion many of the drops last night were from a lapse of concentration.

Ted. we agree. Hubbard reminded me of Ian Allen, a regular turnstile to the QB. There were several rushes where he never even laid a hand on the defender. Please don't insult my intelligence by saying it he only had a few days of practice. He is a professional football player, who has played LT before. It should come naturally, nothing you have to learn.
I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.
