What's going on with Deonte Banks? Should there be concern?

What is your take on Deonte Banks? Is there reason to be concerned about him? I was really high on him, but something seems off. Daboll was fed up enough to bench him.



Daboll had seen enough. An exchange occurred on the sidelines afterward in which the coach told Banks that he was being replaced by Greg Stroman, a player the Giants recently elevated from the practice squad.



A 1st round pick being replaced by a guy recently elevated from the practice squad doesn't sound good to me. And add to the fact that two of our corners were out due to injuries make the benching even more troubling to me

My take is he just isn't that good and has a bad attitude.

He showed signs last year but was far from actually being a good overall CB. This year he has looked downright bad. Could be a bust. It's definitely trending that way at the moment, although I wouldn't go quite that far just yet.

Too early to call him a bust but his recent attitude is very disturbing.  I dont knock him for not being a CB1.  But, he's clearly CB1 on this team when he plays as he has been playing until recently.  And, for the most part, he's done a respectable job guard the opposing best WR.  After last night's game, and this is from a Schoen supporter, another huge mistake was made in this draft trading down a pick to get Banks when Joey Porter Jr was available.  Porter looks to be a legitimate CB1

There should be a lot of concern.  Effort is something you can't coach.

Immature, but there are a few other things than that. And to think we traded up to get him and we could have had Joey Porter Jr.
