Dallas tried to fake a punt and passed it but the defender essentially tackled the intended receiver.  Because it turns out that by rule there is no pass interference on a fake punt.  As Johnny Carson would have said, I did not know that.

That too.I didn't see the play in question so I won't comment on the call itself. If it was a push than I could see not calling it but if the player wrapped his arms around the intended receiver I don't know how a hold wouldn't be called.

Holding yes, but not illegal contact as they are allowed to block the gunners before the ball is kicked.
