But instead, you turn a blind eye and mention the defense. If the QB has no influence over an OT getting flagged, why are we talking about it? It has nothing to do with the performance of the QB.

Tim

I never ignored what influence the QB can have on the offense, my original position was he is the most important player on the team but he cannot control the other 52 players.

In other words, on offense, he has no control over his left tacke whiffing on a block, he has no control over a false start, he has no control over an illegal shift nullifying a TD, or an illegal offensive pushoff nullifying another TD.

Can he help offensively in other ways like you have highlighted? Sure, but to say I am ignoring the offense is not my position.

I brought up the defense and special teams play that he has no control over, which is part of the other 52 players, am I wrong?

May I ask why you chose to ignore that?

We need to remember its a "team" game, and not just one man.

And you can have the last word, as I appreciate you as a moderator and I don't want any hard feelings.

What is the point of bringing up something that no one else is mentioning? It has nothing to do with anything. You may as well talk about the fact that Daniel Jones doesn't play hockey or can't bowl a 300 game. It means nothing. It's irrelevant.

I don't take any of this stuff personal. I do value honest discussions. No hard feelings indeed.
