Exactly, let's see of they will be honest here or blame Daniel Jones for that too.

None of this will matter in 3 months, Jones won't be here and you'll have to find another singular Giant player to hyper focus on.

I think it's only 50/50 at best that Jones won't be here next year.

DJ will likely not be here, but the disfunction so many people have been underplaying will remain.

Was it the OL, that threw it right in the defenders hands for a near pick six?

Thankfully it was DL with stone hands, if that was a DB it would have been a much bigger disaster.

You want to talk about honesty? That is laughable, when you lie about stats to prop Jones up.

It's generally not proper etiquette to laugh at others, I haven't done that to you so please don't do that to me.

May I ask who allowed the defensive end a free pass right at the QB on his blind side?

Who completely whiffed at left tackle and didn't do his job?

May I ask why aren't you blaming him? Instead of Daniel Jones?

A practice squad left tackle. Yes, he shouldn't be on the team, let alone starting. His poor play doesn't make the QBs poor decision making any less egregious. Daniel Jones can't be trusted with the football in his hands.

I agree with this. I think Daniel Jones has become a cult figure for people with unhealthy obsessions. John Mara  has been the leader of the cult and I can see him sacrificing the team for another year on behalf of his obsession with Jones.

It's more than dishonesty at this point. It's an obsession.

I have a tough time agreeing with the 50/50 forecast that Jones will be back. Mara obviously has a major soft spot for Jones, but he did for Barkley too, and Barkley is gone. The Giants also actively pursued trying to move up last year to draft Jones' replacement. Mara knew about that and was ok with it.

Mara is generally incompetent and surely plays favorites - no doubt about either of those things. But I do believe he desperately wants to win. After six years of rolling out the same QB and expecting a different result, I think the latter desire will finally trump the former in Jones' case.

Jeff,

Frankly, I don't spend much time thinking about whether Jones is back or not.  My bigger concern is how the team acquires a franchise QB.   That, to me, is the key issue and one that has been vexing me (because I don't see an easy or sure path to accomplish that mission)

If they keep losing like they likely will, that path becomes alot clearer.

Then it is a matter of selection the correct one out of anywhere between 2-5 options. Still no easy path, and if they get the selection wrong, then they will need to clean house after 2 seasons.

The quarterbacks in this draft are not in last year's class. There is no Calib or Daniels in this year's draft class.   The QBs in this draft are more like the QB prospects available to the Giants when it was their turn to draft and they passed on all of them.

I'm afraid this may be true. I have no doubt the Giants prefer to upgrade the QB position. I'm not convinced they will make a change if it isn't for a college prospect they are convinced will be a star.

This is neither true nor false. We won't know until we know.

Every year, fans, reporters, analysts, mock drafts, etc are often wrong. Whether or not its a QB or other position. Can't miss, generational talents fail, undrafted players become stars, and everything inbetween.

The perception of a draft classes strength, is never an indicator of actual results. If they were, Trevor Lawrence would be a top 3 QB and the Jaguars would be contenders

Trubisky would be better than Mahomes

the year Mayfield and Darnold were drafted ahead of Josh Allen while both along with Rosen were drafted ahead of Lamar Jackson as well.

Jordan Love fell to 26th overall

Jalen Hurts was a second round pick

Brock Purdy was Mr Irrelevant and is much better than Trey Lance

Dak was a 4th, he has his questions, but hes better than alot of first rounders.

Stroud is better than Young who was drafted before them.

Now, could it turn out that this years draft class isnt as good? Sure, absolutely, but can there be a franchise guy that rights the ship in it also? Absolutely.

You don't know until you know, that is simply backed by history.
