Seems like just a couple of months ago people were talking about how great the Saints looked to start the season.......

I guess losing to the Panthers will do that to you.   I say that tongue in cheek, as I am a bit surprised by this firing.

2-7 after a 2-0 start, capped with a loss to Carolina.

Ouch.

My guess and it's a guess is that nothing whatsoever will happen to Daboll.

I don't see him getting canned mid season or after the season.

However, his seat will be very, very hot heading into next season.

Nothing will happen to Daboll because the Giants are looking for stability at that position. It doesn't matter if they win or lose stability at all cost.  :boooo:

I don't see him fired mid season.

If they decide to let him go, doing so a couple weeks after Maras comments, would be on par with DG trading Odell after saying we didnt sign him to trade him

Hmmm, so if the Giants lose to the Panthers . . . ?
I'd rather be a disappointed optimist than a vindicated pessimist.

Not slowing my roll

I still like the OC a ton, they've been without their qb and #1 & #2 wr for most games and 60% of their oline is injured.

Then why waste the year? Fire him.

Because a hot seat doesn't mean it's going to be rubbish next year.

He might turn it around with new talent.

We brought in new talent this year. Nabers and Burns didn't come cheap. How's that working for us?

He's gonna get a new QB.

Let's see what he can do with that.

Sure - but do you want to give him 2 more years to find out?

Also, with the way the season is playing out toward the draft, I'm not sure Jones isn't our day 1 starter in 2025.
