Your sarcasm aside, culture matters.  Teams lacking good culture don't lose more often than not

Once again I enjoy your thoughts but this was the exact same statement Giant fans said about Eli Manning the last few years, they blamed it all on him and they were wrong.

The team itself around him had major problems but he took all of the heat.
What does one have to do with the other. Eli Manning is a two time Super Bowl champ. He's earned whatever grace people want to show him.

Daniel Jones has not earned anything. When he's eventually let go from the team, his tenure as QB will be looked at as one of the darkest eras of Giants football.

I will confess, I am baffled how your feelings about QBs "earning" anything have to do with the team being a dumpster fire for years and that putting most of that on Daniel Jones is misguided.

True, some people were thrown under the bus or held accountable, but clearly, accountability varies based on family relationships or sitting at an owner's deathbed for a week.
I agree with this. There are people in the organization who have never achieved any success and cannot be fired. At an organizational level there is no true accountability. Someone will have to fall on the sword, but nothing fundamentally changes.

Not only does the lack of performance from these men harm the organization directly, but it's hard to hold others accountable, as well.  No matter how good your speech or your talents as a manager/leader are, people see that non-performers are not held to the same standard, and that's a killer for morale and the strength of one's message.

Eli was a great Giant. He was also washed up. Daniel Jones was never anything more than a scrub. He never won anything at any level. Just another developmental talent who never developed.

How much say do Chris Mara and Tim McDonnell have in personell decisions?

With those titles either they have significant influence or they are a sham.  Neither one is good.
I'd rather be a disappointed optimist than a vindicated pessimist.

You can say that all you want but at the end of the day it comes down to players executing on game day, or not. This league has had some dirtbag owners who've had teams that won. Al Davis comes to mind.

I know there titles, it's just like what's really stoping Schoen from ignoring their input? I'm not saying he is or isn't, but it isn't like they can overrule him if that makes sense

Just curious, were his sack fumble and interception factored into those numbers because both contributed mightily to the L.

I feel bad now, so I'll add...he's a good kid and it's not all his fault. But this is a QB driven league, and ours is a below average passer who's both injury and turnover prone.

We deserve BETTER!!

From Simms to Eli (with an assist from Hoss) our Super Bowl Quarterbacks. Great defense and clutch QB performances...NY Giants Championship football.

I have an old profile still floating around: andrew_nyg....I am one and the same!

DJ td run was pretty legit. He was a tank.

I think we all agreed when it was stated this was Daniel Jones prove it year. He had everything all his supporters said was missing.
Yet we are still 2-7 or whatever and people are still making excuses for Jones. Why?
This is the prove it year and he is still the same QB as he was all along.
We said when he was drafted either we hit or we set the franchise back 4-5 years it is now year six and I am not getting any younger. Jones has proved to most that he just isn't NFL quality no matter what his rating says..
I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.

I get PFF has their own way of rating players.  I generally agree with them more than I disagree.  I think elite is a bit of a stretch here.  He had 2 completions for more than 20 yards all game.

Dude had 74 yards passing into the 4th quarter.  He padded the stats in essentially garbage time.  I understand Daboll is calling plays, but it's obvious how little he believes in Jones. I'm sure PFF has a meticulous algorithm for rating players, but the eyeball test also matters.  This offense is anemic and easy to defend due to QB play.

I have said before and say again people will be surprised how much different everything looks once they get an NFL QB in there.  A real passer. Defense had a rough day yesterday, but that's hardly the issue with this team.
