I have seen a lot of fans try and blame Jones for all the losses the team has had.  So I figured I would look at the team's record with and without Daniel Jones.   I used ESPN for the stats and I assigned games to the QB with the highest amount of passing yards for the game (that's how ESPN lists the QB of record for a given game.

So having run the numbers

With Jones

23.5-43.5  for a winning average of .350

Without Daniel Jones

7-18 for a winning average of .280

In context, Eli had a lot of successful 9-7 seasons. a .5625%.
"There is a greater purpose...that purpose is team. Winning, losing, playing hard, playing well, doing it for each other, winning the right way, winning the right way is a very important thing to me... Championships are won by teams who love one another, who respect one another, and play for and support one another."

I made a mistake in my math (I corrected it, but the team still has a better record with DJ than without).

Oh, so in the words of Gilda Radner, "Never mind."

I didn't say, "DJ is the only problem"; I said, "A lot of fans blame DJ for all the losing."

1. You're comparing Jones to his backups. Bring in a starter next season and let's see how they do.

2. It looks like you're missing some games.

With Jones. 68 starts. 24 wins.  0.358 winning percentage

Without Jones. 24 games. 7 wins. 0.291 winning percentage

Eli: 1-3
McCoy: 1-1
Glennon: 0-4
Fromm: 0-2
Webb: 0-1
Tyrod: 2-3
DeVito: 3-3

According to Stat Muse, Daniel Jones has the 17th worst winning percentage in NFL history of QBs with at least 68 starts. He has a good chance to crack the top-10.

Still, the stats I provided show that the team more than Jones is the issue

No, that's not what it shows. It shows the Giants need a legitimate starting QB, not Jake Fromm or anyone like that.

If anything the stats show that very few QBs in NFL history have gotten this many opportunities to consistently lose so much.

Simply put the stats show the team was better with Jones than without Jones.  Hell, even Eli Manning did worse than Jones with the terrible teams

The team would be better with Jones than with me or you at QB. So what. It's a useless data point because none of those names would ever be identified as a potential future starter for a contender.

Yes he immediately retired after that season. I wonder why.

He was playing for a lousy team that wasn't getting any better
