Someone said they would be better off if they had JJ McCarthy rather than Nabers.  We have seen how talented Nabers is and that his game translates to the NFL.  McCarthy hasn't thrown a regular season pass.

The way things are looking passing on a QB last year might not be the worst thing. Depends on how you grade Cam Ward vs JJ/Nix/Penix. Since they had no chance at the other three guys. And personally I'm getting higher and higher on Ward with every passing week. Once th season is over I'll dig in more closely but that kid looks GREAT right now. Just gotta make sure the Giants don't accidentally win a game or two along the way

I seem to remember he would have a horrible couple of drives and then literally would be lights out terrific. Kind of how the season has gone where he's been awful with a few glimpses here and there to wet the beak

On the other side, Nabers hasn't translated into wins. We'd be 2-8 if Nabers had never played a down for us.

So you are saying having a really talented player makes no difference for the future?  I just don't get that logic.  By that logic Dex hasn't translated into wins either.

It means you don't win games with talented wide receivers if you don't have someone capable to throw to them. The cart before the horse.

He did not look good yesterday. He had a very Jonesque type of fumble. I'll admit it was the first time I watched him. I was not impressed.

Cart before the horse?  I've spent the last several years listening to how Jones needed weapons.  Now having weapons is bad without a QB?

You also don't draft a QB on the basis of "he's there and we need one". That's how you end up with Daniel Jones in the first place. If you draft a QB at 6 and whiff, it sets you back a few years. If Daboll and Schoen didn't believe that McCarthy, Nix or Penix were worth the 6th pick, they were right not to take them.

Not bad but useless unless you consider Jones a capable QB.

Except I guarantee they will take one this year, right or wrong even if who they take one who is ranked lower than those three from last year. They have no choice. Their jobs are on the line. Right now were they right? The team is 2-8 and desperate for a QB.
