Is there any way you could see the Giants going after Jon Gruden? Especially after the accusations made by Brian Flores? I for one think Gruden would be an upgrade to what we currently have.

"I'm telling you right now, (I made a) couple calls last night — I can confirm that he definitely wants to get back in. One hundred percent," Esiason said. "I can also confirm, and I believe this to be true — this is, again, my opinion after speaking to at least two different people that are involved in coaching searches and things of that nature — that there are teams that are interested in him."

"If it's not this year, it's definitely next year. But he's coming back. He's definitely coming back.

I doubt it. He said some pretty awful things.  I don't see the Giants hiring somebody like that.

"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

Last month, I would have agreed with you.  Now, I am not sure saying (technically, Gruden's were private emails rather than public statements) terrible things (or even character) matter anymore.

As for Gruden, the head coach, his only winning record was his last four years with the Raiders, when he was 3-2 before he resigned. This was after taking over a 6-10 team with 5 Pro Bowlers.
SMART, TOUGH, DEPENDABLE

I'd rather hire Belichick, which I have been very openly against

Yeah, I was actually cautious about how I phrased that. I believe the Giants still care.  At least I hope so.
