It's officially official. The Daniel Jones era in New York has likely come to an end:

 :ok:

It's the right time and the right move. Let Lock get the first team reps. If it looks like he's going to win a game, throw Jones back in.

Is DeVito going to ruin another franchise QB pick for us?  Redfaced

This was a no-brainer and not at all surprising, but it's still a relief to finally see it official.

In all honesty, I want him to play like Burrow and the Bengals did last night. Fight hard and come up short at the end. Best of both worlds.

That is the ideal situation.

If they have to trade up to get their guy, do it.

Doesn't sound like there's a can't miss QB in this draft.

I'm excited that they've decided to move on. It's time.

No cartwheels but maybe Tommy can prove his worth with half a season with the 1s.

Edit: Maybe Tommy can be a bridge to the next QB.

A real forward thinking move for the regime. A mistake admitted. Let's go Giants.

The Raiders and Browns could very well lose out the rest of the season and be picking ahead of us.

Why would 2 teams - who are as desperate or more than we are for a franchise QB - trade out of their spot and lose their chance to select a QB?

They won't. Plain and simple. It's going to come down reaching for Milroe or taking someone like Will Johnson.

Reaching for a QB is how we got to this position, and I'm not interested in doing it again. Load up on BPA and take a QB later in the draft.

I love your negativity  :ok:

Glad to see you have a magic crystal ball and can see the future, what pick do the Giants end up with, who do they select, and who is the GM making the pick?

It's about time they realize what he was.

It's also scary it took them so long to realize it.

Jones is a nice person, hard worker, with decent skills. He will have a long career as a backup if he so chooses. He will help a good team and he will have some success coming in as a backup when the starter gets hurt as teams aren't scheming against him on a week to week basis.
